- With mortgage rates holding steady above the 7% threshold, the housing market has witnessed a shift in sentiment, steering some prospective buyers away. Against this backdrop, Serhant Florida Founding Agent Mariana Niro joins Wealth! to provide insights into the key considerations for those looking to purchase a home.
Niro emphasizes that homebuyers should define their approach up-front: in particular, whether they plan to make an outright cash purchase or finance the acquisition. She also highlights the significance of obtaining a pre-approval letter, a crucial tool in determining the homebuyer's affordability range.
Despite the elevated interest rates, Niro cautions against adopting a wait-and-see approach, saying, "Don't wait for interest rates to start dropping because prices will skyrocket."

Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?
Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder
The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market
nice! once you hit a big milestone, the next comes easier.. who is your advisor please, if you don't mind me asking?
ANGELA LYNN SCHILLING' is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Thank you for this tip. It was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her resume.
Mortgage rates won’t go below 6 percent for a very long time
Anytime is good time to buy a house according to realtors....gotta keep those commissions coming. The days of 3% for opening doors and signing documents are over!!
Only realtors think right now is the time to buy lol, will there be demand once rates finally drop…yes most likely…will they lower rates before something breaks….extremely unlikely….the reason they’re staying higher for longer is on purpose…people are in extreme debt with credit cards…once something actually breaks and unemployment skyrockets people will have to make painful decisions eat or mortgage….it happened before it’ll happen again. Nobody can afford 700K ranch houses! Either this happens or we all get a HUGE pay bump.
100%
Folks waiting to buy is only gonna cost you more, the new reality
No dummies it is actually the opposite. It's scary that you do not know that.
Interest rates won't be dropping anytime soon, so no worries there
I’d wait a year after rate cuts
Gonna cost you more
Only $33 for every $100 that you borrow ... LOL
Exactly 😂
Main tip: take a deep breath and don't buy in this stupid market. It's not worth it.
Facts !
I’m a new dad, I moved to the Bay Area a few years ago and I’m thinking of purchasing a single family home, but with real estate prices currently through the roof, is it still a good idea to buy a home or should I invest in stocks for now and just wait for a housing market correction? I heard Nvidia and AMD are strong buys.
it’s a personal decision, but according to Forbes, housing activities will remain stagnant for the most part of the year, so maybe hold off a little.
well you could put a downpayment on a home and as well diversify as much as you can into Ai and pharm. stocks like Pfizer and JnJ.
Certain Ai companies are rumoured to be overvalued and might cause a market correction, I’d suggest you go with a managed portfolio, but even those don’t perform so well, so it’s best you reach out to a proper fiduciary to guide you, that’s what works for my spouse and I.
this is all new to me, where do I find a fiduciary, can you recommend any?
’vivian jean wilhelm’’ is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
With Interest Rate drop, prices will skyrocket- OK
Wont it also release a supply of frozen houses locked at low interest rates??
I guess the prices will stay constant, nothing gonna skyrocket
Interest Rate drop = Resale Home Supply will skyrocket thats sure 👍🏼
So you forgot what happened in 2020-2022
@@huynguyentoantin Wao! In 2020-22 people had surplus $$ to spend, I dont think the same case this time around when $$ savings sucked by inflation
Yes, when the rate dips below 5%
Yes, supply will balloon like you've never seen and prices will drop.
those who are waiting to sell as interest rates are locked are waiting because they dont want to buy jext home on high interest rates. those homes that come in market will have equivalent new demnad offsetting any new supplies
