@DanielZiese Fair enough, he wrote it for her when he had'nt a record contract, promising if she sang it, her first hits in years, (his version charted higher) since '72.
He wrote the song for her and then he recorded it himself. It was an album Nancy did whre new wave or alt rockers(including Bono, Peter Yorn , Jarvis Crocker and Jon Spencer) wrote songs esp for Nancy.
personally, I don't really like this cover, I think she sounds a bit emotionless -but I do quite like her other songs- whereas I love Morrissey's backing vocals
@PHPAULIE I actually like it better than Mozz's version. Just on a production level alone its better. But if you have a hard on for Morrissey I'm sure that'll just get in the way.
Alain Whyte wrote the gorgeous music for this song. That arpeggio section is haunting.
They sound like magic together
You can't fail with Moz on backing vocals. Impossible.
Nancy must have really loved this song to sing it with such feeling...
O My God. She's bringing a lifetime of experience and a laidback maturity.
Maybe I hear for the first time her natural beuty. She is amazing.
What a song. I didn’t even know that Nancy had tackled it too. What a lovely voice she has.
He (Morrisey) wrote this song for be sung by her
@@MakiBargeld why? And how do you know?
He spoke about it on an interview
@@TonyKeepingItCleanbecause they were close friends….
I like it! Sinatra finally covers a Morrissey song! ,
Is it a cover if it appeared on Nancy's album first? Same with the jarvis song
This is beautiful! I would love to have seen Nancy and Moz doing an actual duet on this...
Morrissey forever!
What an Amazing Discovery! I already loved both for many years. Nancy should do more like this...
I love this song! Nancy's voice is inspiring!
The Beautiful Nancy!
I can only imagine the grin on morrissey hearing Nancy sing his comedic song.. Its so perfect i think only siouxsie could double
very nice!!! those boots are still walkin!!!
Muito bom! Adorei essa versão!!
Que coisa linda... Dois monstros da música
... que combinam plenamente!
Rapaz, esse cover ficou pau a pau com o original. Não sei qual a melhor versão
I tried to sing this song & couldn't - Nancy is amazing.
Jungle Jan I find it easy to do a decent job of any Morrissey song& especially i have forgiven Jesus 😊
Nancy is good by her own merit..... NO comparison to Morrissey (BTW Song not too tough to sing)
Beautiful 💖💖💖💖

Buen intento Nancy ,but no ,thankyou but noo igual me gusta pero al lado dd Moz nooo pasoo

I actually prefer Nancy's version of this tho I'm not sure she's enjoying that hug as she takes the trash out in that bin liner
She said that morrissey is a great hugger you can see in the importance of being morrissey documentary and then shut the fuck up you pest
iu disgusting! i prefer only Morrissey
Morrissey has always been a big Nancy Sinatra fan. I don't see how you can really know what he's about if you don't get his influences.
Not good.
