A lot of people hated it. And managed to get a refund from the stores they bought it from because of the online required to download everything. I was one of the people who had to get a refund for it.

@@smgeezus7186 The disc version still has advantages. 1) It’s DRM free, and 2) You can use it to reinstall COD (fully updated and playable) offline and even if servers shut down. You need an external hard drive. Update the game and COPY the game to the hard drive and store drive in safe place. You can uninstall the game from the console after this if you wish. I am LIVID. I bought my copy roughly half a year ago, and I wasn't able to properly update it, but now that i've updated it on my ps4.. its not even MW2. It forced me to make an activision account, then booted me into a Black Ops 6 start-up screen with 6+ tiles of call of duty games I don't even want, including Modern Warfare 2. Why in the absolute hell do I have to pay for the game i actually bought TWICE. I have no way of returning and getting a refund for this game
Experiencing the same thing right now I can’t believe I bought mw2 on ps5 and I can’t even play it, I can only access dmz mode like what the hell???? Have you found a solution to play campaign and multiplayer?
Quite possibly the saddest type of example. Such a popular game too, which makes it worse since now that's how so many casuals will think literally all games are like now. Pain

fun fakt on the mission the arbiter in Halo 2, 3 phantoms that drop you off at the beginning off the mission they doesn't despawn, they hit the barrier and drop to the bottom of the map
No big surprise here, the disc is a download link and DRM key, you still need the disc and an internet connection to prove you own the game to play the game, And this is the future going forward for disc-based games, you might as well go full online digital distribution, you'll still need an always-connected internet connection, same for your online digital distribution copy (well at least for the Microsoft/Xbox side of gaming). Is this the same for Sonys Playstation?

Yes,It does the disc has 43gb on the disc plus the campaign pack, which is 12gb but it doesn't have spec ops or because of the 1 year Playstation deal also no ground war because it wasn't added on release it also has a glitch when in multi-player lobby ost switches between season 1 and 3 werid but cool also after installer you might get a message telling you to update (it's a glitch) to play the campaign, but since it's installed you can launch though Cold Wars offline menu like how you can launch warzone 1 still in MWIII it's fun because it isn't broken like the newest mw19 update wich might be fixed when it comes to game pass
There you go, you paid $70 for what might as well be an empty plastic circle, when you could have just downloaded the game from the online store and saved the landfill fodder in the first place. Man, collectors are gonna be pissed when that console’s production and service cycles end, and their discs with no actual game on them are basically worthless.
Pretty much why I don't plan to collect anything Sony or Microsoft after the 7th gen. Most resale places will end up just tossing these obsolete DRM keys
Try a disc test for Crash 4. I know that early copies of Spyro Reignited Trilogy for PS4 and Xbox One and all copies of the game for Nintendo Switch fail the disc test, with the Switch version having worse results than the other versions, but what about Crash 4? Is it also missing content without an update?

@@NazmusLabs that’s what i’m sayin bro if the servers for the store shut down you’re fucked so disk still has advantages so i kept mine
@@NazmusLabs I own many cods but never touched the campaign in threw last few ones, cold war mw 1, mw 2
I hope you didn't buy the digital version after that. That's what they want you to do.
The extra 12gb is reserve space, which is used for downloading store content and such
I miss when I could actually get a game from a store and play it instantly while it was on the disk too.

to be fair, it is the Cross-gen version which means that if anything is on the disk its the last gen version

You might want to try this with the 2019 MW, I heard that it actually has the original un-patched version on the disc.

No it's on the disc. Most games are but a few aren't.
Try playing it with your internet turned off. That works for a lot of games since it won't detect that there's an update.
Unfortunately, that doesn't work. It still picks up update files even offline
Next-gen is probably going to be going fully digital and there will be no more discs in the future.
What about black ops Cold War is the campaign completely on the disc or is that also a Internet required install?
Can someone tell me if i buy the call of duty mw2 disc will i have access to the multiplayer
Reupload?
Nope just a different game but part of same little series
This guy ran out of content or something lmao
there's only so many things hidden out of bounds and glitches in halo...

i mean regardless you’re fucked if you have disk or digital so i kept disk
