- You already know that Canva is an incredible tool for creating beautiful, on-brand images and marketing materials for your business.
But there’s a specific challenge that most business owners will also run into at some point when working with Canva.
I’m talking about blurry Canva designs.
You create a gorgeous design in Canva and then you go to share it on social media or download it for an email newsletter, or as a feature image for your website. But when you go to post the image, it looks blurry, even though the original design looked crystal clear while you were working on it inside of Canva’s design editor.
It’s a concern I hear with reasonable frequency, so I want you to have a quick action plan at your finger tips to solve the problem.

Thank you so much!!! Seems like doubling the size solves the problem! Once again many thanks!
Happy to help!
Hi! Thanks for sharing. I never had this issue prior but I've noticed it more frequent. I tried doubling in size and tripling the size too. The font and the images become blurry. I'm using high quality photos. Is there anything else that can help with this? There are not too many resolutions for this.
Can you clarify - is it blurry upon download? Or just when you try to upload your design to another platform?
@@BrendaCadman it’s blurry when I upload it to IG.
So it's definitely something on Meta's side of things then if the image is clear when it's downloaded from Canva. My go to for uploading to IG is usually to double the size (so for the feed I'll use 2160x2700) and download as a PNG... if it's still blurry upon upload, then it sounds like something funky happening on the Instagram side.
