@logiotek definitley not, roman Kim is a great technician but not remotely close to other living violinists. Kerson Leong for example is probably around the same age. Someone who’s slightly older would be haedelich. Both superior violinists to kim
@@nitelite4340 Neither are innovators (both in terms of the instrument itself [Roman designs own violin including fingerboard and strings] or technique ['Kim harmonics' among other things]) or composers like Kim (Romances, Concerto, other compositions and arrangements), both of them will be just footnotes in history while Roman's name will be synonymous with Paganini.
this guy is brilliant - what a master on the violin - would have to be up there as one of the best - the way he plucks at the strings, almost makes the instrument talk
idk man it sounded like some sorta other instrument completely since I’ve never heard that done Maybe he does and I’m not familiar so I’ll have to watch more damn best thing I’ve heard for a bit for sure
If I was one of them violinists, I would not look so glum ! They almost look like they don't want to be there! I'd have smiled my way through and revelled in heaven being a part of this masterful art ❤️
I think everyone may be overlooking two things here: 1) the tambourine player deserves an oscar 2) the best mangoes probably belong to the woman playing violin behind him to his left.
yes, and left just as quickly...looking back this talk is about two different things. We all know it takes years of practicing alone to master what it is, one chooses to do.. years alone meaning 'disiplined...driven'. Achieved over this time, shows with beautifully mastered music....difficult pieces...and beautifully done. Paul Wright showed me at a young age..and he is another great violinest whom I will never forget.
If there is a question whether or not he is No. 1 or No.2 ...but if there is an answer that is he is sooo dazzlingly skilled with his instrument ...really flawless and amazing ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ !!!!!
..loved how he played the harmonics, like at 2.27 stg---sounded like there was a flute in that violin---can imagine 2 ole mad hatters singing the male & female voices at + -3.28--.. & the odd, even timings ( with the orchestra)at + - 4.00 ---wow!!
''The best violinist of the world'' Always makes me laugh when people on youtube place their own personal musical preference's as FACTS !! To me, I dont think after listening to many of Sergey Krylov's performances on youtube including this music that he is in anyway near the best Violinist in the world, But again that's my own PERSONAL taste !!
The guy is a master of his instrument and the best in the world for his own style that's a fact, he is godly at pinch harmonics and double or even triple stops. Amazing control over his body and the violin
very good playing, a bit of gypsy style, rather fitting. Perhaps not the best of this world, however he has some unique features ,especially in his left hand. A beautiful vibrato, not too obtrusive. Well done. An excellent orchestra and conductor.
I was watching Yanni Video's and became fascinated with the best violinists. This guy is really really good. He probably wouldn't even do a Yanni concert would he? I saw some amazing violinists in the Yanni video's though.
''Is'' present tense, '' was'' past tense. I agree that when you get to the highest level that its all down to personal taste. My favourite Sarah Chang, great Violinist with great personality, stage presence, charisma, fabulous to watch and listen to. I saw her play live in London 2011, playing the Bruch Violin Concerto, fabulous performance and as always she made a point of meeting her fans afterwards for a personal chat and autographs etc. She is a real star and is so loved by her fans.
To my ear, in the whole time, he missed just one thing, the chord at 5:17. Otherwise he displays that which makes Oistrakh and Chang head and shoulders better than anyone else - an ability to play every note, no matter how quick, with perfect clarity, fullness and sweet expression (this last being what Heifetz lacked IMHO).
I came here just to watch the guy playing the tambourine. He is an inspiration.
Lol!❤️
that was me ..thanks guys
Classic Statement Indeed! I saw your comment to come watch that only. He deserves more credit.
2:13 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes 🙌
we can be lucky that there is never a ¨best¨ in music, but anyway Mr.Sergey Krylov is playing wonderful!
So heifetz.........was just another violinist....
@@stevengates4437 yes
Roman Kim has already defined the next era for violin.

0:52 When you said you “participated” in the group project
😂😂😂
It's the individual performance that takes the cake!
Er ist EINER der BESTEN, NICHT der BESTE.

Maybe he does and I’m not familiar so I’ll have to watch more damn best thing I’ve heard for a bit for sure
At the end someone came up to him and said "you need some practice"
He seems mildly talented. 😂
Maybe with a little more practice, he will git gud
@@DarkMetaOFFICIAL how come you are so stupid!
Maybe you should practice some culture, night1 wind, maybe there were more 'winds' in your pants.1

Harmonic playing. Holy!

They're just concentrating that's all. I should know I play in an orchestra
Just precious. Wonderful.

very very talented violinist. incredible feel of music! best performance to learn from.
somethings I’ve never heard before
Wonderful, I love his performance!
Despite the comments! Respect for this man! Well done!
There are plenty of outstandingly talented violinists. Kyrlov is just one of a number.
Yup....number one to be exact......you walked right into that one.....haha....
Nah its like 800 or some@@stevengates4437
I thank you for your years of training...practicing...and being alone to create music so beautifully.

My god, hes playing notes ive never even heard of, AMAZING!

thanks for name
This is an amazing playing! I have the cello that his father made and it also sounds very good. Hope to be such a great player one day.
Extreme talent and dedication
Absolutely fantastic.
Very intense, with feelings from the heart.
Well done.
Enjoyed your fiddling very much
Thank you four wonderful talent.

Why does it sounds like there is 2-3 ppl playing 1 violin.. Uhhhh... Amazing...... Loveee
not sure either
Maxim Vengerov said that Sergey was the best violonist of his generation !
Tilling54 really?
That's really cool....
Then Maxim hasn't kept up with his own protege, Roman Kim, who has already defined the next era for violin.
now I have to go Maxim V
Oh my! Amazing!
A young robin singing in the dark by the window woke me up very early, and i stumbled into this!
what a violinist
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Awesome Awesome Awesome Violinist
an absolute master at one with his instrument! with such feeling and concentration it does not have to get any better than this.
0:50 Did you hear those wonderful notes? What a dream! (only place it's audible) ;)
beautiful part...the whole damn thing really
Mistrzostwo❤
Serg is definitely one of the great ones.

oh ya that was nuts
hatters the peeps that dealt with mercury?
Fascinating!!
Man, that tambourine playing looked hard, especially compared to the violin. Mwa 😙👌🏻 chef's kiss 💋
I think that calling Krylov the world's best violinist is a fable. A Krylov fable!
Stunning beautiful...
Sublimely!
in tears
The best version
fantastic skills and performance
JUST SO AWESOME!!!
People don't understand how hard the 🎻 can be. To create a story truly a bard

One of my favirite pieces, very well played.Tanks. thanks.Very very nice sound.
Oooooh those harmonics!❤️
Una maravilla.!!
The guy is a master of his instrument and the best in the world for his own style that's a fact, he is godly at pinch harmonics and double or even triple stops. Amazing control over his body and the violin
Gabe Martino a triple stop would be called a chord...
Thanks a lot for your post!!!!
MAGIC Violin!
Such beautiful music.
The best violinist of the world is in every crowd.
the beginning sounds like the song we played in my middle school it was El toro
Very good
Insane talent!
Incredible
Amazing.

BEAUTIFUL & GREAT
omg we played this song in my 8th grade orchestra...well the 8th grade version of teehee
I totally like the full concert.
Well done, you are clearly highly intelligent to figure that out, you maybe ever deserve a medal for that fact you shared....
Wonderful!
I don’t love the interpretation of this piece but his talent is undeniable o_o
Krylov and Shaham plays this piece really good!
A good musician will never claim they are the best musician in the world...

great violinist
wow, absolutely amazing
had to comment twice all i can say is WOW
This is great....really appreciated it....THANKS
He's SUPER great, but I wouldn't say best violinist in the world...
why is there a constant zoom on the guy with the tambourine like wtf?
robert marsanico cause it's true art 😂😂😂
robert marsanico Because tambourine is more difficult than violin.
Please sit and be quiet. Whining is not permitted anymore, marsanica!!
Lol, thank you for pointing out how ridiculous that was, it became a highlight of the video for me.
Wouldn't you want the camera on you when you're doing your solo?...lol
