TETSUO HARA IS THE GREATEST HE TOOK HIS INFLUENCES TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!!
This inspires me even harder because I love frank frazetta and tetsuo hara.
I'm actually really happy that Tetsuo hara had influence from frazetta. Besides Akira toriyama, jim lee, picaso, tsunako, Kazuki Takahashi, Yoshitaka amano, and some others, it's Hara and especially Frazetta that kind of inspire me to draw. I have only recently started to draw again but man knowing this kind of energized me.
Majestic yet so brutal.
Now I gotta check out Franks art work, thanks.
No problem. Frank Frazetta has done an amazing amount of work. He's well known for his Art Covers for movies and metal bands such as Conan, ManOWar, Molly Hatchet, Ect.
The only one I knew about was the Death Dealer painting. There's also some Sylvester Stallone comparisons.
+THE AnimeHERO That also explains about the concept of Raoh and Black King which is interesting. And I do remember you showing me some of the comparisons to Stallone, which was the Cobra Film and Over the Top Film.
Plagiarism and Inspiration are totally different things. I was inspired by Tetsuo Hara's work, and I'm now in art college. 💜💜
I can say that Hara definitley borrowed a lot of elements and poses from Frazetta but he added a lot other influences too be it movie stars like Stallone and Schwarzenegger or even some roman/greek influences with the way the faces of many of his characters have particularly strong chiseled features particularly around the chins and noses.
+CRITTERBUSTERS That's true, I'm familiar with the Stallone, Schwarzenegger and including Bruce lee poses, thanks to THE AnimeHERO, but I didn't know Hara based off the idea of facial designs off of the roman/greek art. I also remember Hara getting his idea's for muscle detail off of body building magazines too.
Well I don't think he did take inspiration from Roman/greek art, but what i meant was It certainly has that look at times, my dad who's not a big fan of Anime to manga also thought the same thing particularly when i showed him the ultimate hokuto no ken illustration book.
i recently started to interesting to draw, and tetsuo hara is my biggest inspiration, i want to draw in his beatiful style y barely knows anything about drawing. this inspires me, but i need more!! someone knows how i can learn?
great video man, very informative
Any time!
In many cases, Tetuso Hara drew Kenshiro with reference to the pose of Bruce Lee.
Lets not forget Raoh who was obviously inspired by Death dealer and Drago.
wow !, this video is a vintage video
Isn't it "Tetsuo" Hara?
Anyways, great video man :)
