It feels so strange watching somebody drive through my town on roads I've been down hundreds of times. It feels both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

@@joshuas7713 I just happened to be up to see this. Broken Arrow is a good sized town but also has a small town feel. It's definitely been growing in the past couple years and the cost of living isn't too bad. Oklahoma does have toll roads on the highways though, so be prepared to pay those or get a pike pass. Should also mention that the whole state of Oklahoma has a less than stellar school system (if kids are in the plans). There are some things to do here (the Rose District is really nice) but we are by no means a major draw for musical artists and other attractions, so you will have to go to places like Dallas for that. Also, Oklahoma roads are pretty bad. And I can't leave out the tornado threat, but I will say that more severe ones happen further out west. I hope this helps, it's not the best town ever, but if you are looking for somewhere that's fairly quiet and chill, it's not bad. It's also worth while to look around at towns near Broken Arrow like Jenks and Owasso. The Jenks riverwalk is nice and there also an aquarium there. But these places are all within driving distance of Broken Arrow too. Hope this helps!

That intersection 71st and Elm (161st street) used to be crooked, they finally came to fixing it after almost 30 years of me passing through there, BTW, there used to be a McDonald's a few hundred feet west of that same intersection, and Otasco, and there used to be a small Walmart on the northwest corner of that intersection, and a four seasons open air fruit stand little market on the southeast corner where the current QT is. Things have changed so much in BA in the last 45 years

Moved here in 2007 after growing up and living in the Dallas Texas area since 1954. I love it here. Don't get me wrong i love Dallas and specifically Texas but Oklahoma people and Texas people believe along the same lines. Save for football. I've had relatives in both states. Friends and kinfolk that have attended Texas, OU, OSU, Baylor and SMU. I love all of those teams. But i still root for Texas over them all.

Seems like most people have loved living here, but for someone contemplating visiting or even moving here this shows a very unkempt city. It's not a very pretty city.... no planned landscaping, no curbs on the main streets, no attractive buildings, just disorganized structures. Is there any reason to visit or even move here besides the low cost of housing? Overall, the videos I've seen of other towns and cities in OK seem to be lacking in the design and beauty area. Is this true? I may be required to move here due to my work but it kinda makes me cringe.
