I've been killing myself trying to get the tone for this song right on my 7 string. It sounds perfect in my six but I'm under the impression that Stephen uses his 7's for the old stuff but here he's using a 6?!? But this was also a long time ago. Hmm....
@@mso9176 After a long time of battling that dilemma and my ocd surrounding it i decided to just use my 6 for the old stuff and my seven for the new stuff. Im not a famous musician with several guitars so to get a different tone out of my 7 that sounds more like a traditional 6 id have to change strings readjust neck relief, set the intonation etc. So it just easier to use what works. If it aint broke dont fix it. The 7 is great for some things and the 6 is great for others. They are both versatile in their own way.
