That's the question all sincere Believers, male and female, keep asking. It's a sign of weakness that Prophet Muhammad didn't have (Allah's peace be on him). He would take time away from his wives, but no history tells of him beating them. Or any of his other female relatives, like some Muslim men think they have the right to do. These are some of the things that people use to give Islam a bad reputation.

He has a way of not answering people directly. This brother's question has nothing to do with father and child because you can't "refuse to share their beds". This question is about husbands who beat their wives badly, not lightly. Also Imams teach that the Prophet didn't hit his wives or a man (unless he was at war). The word daraba actually means "to go away from", which is what the Ptophet did. He would take time away from his wives. How many men hit another man if he disagrees with him?. This speaker did the same as others - speaking with forked tongue. Women should learn self defense to protect themselves against anyone who does them physical harm. Real men don't hit women.
You either didn't listen to whole clip or didnt understand in arabic a single word can have multiple meanings and in order to get the correct meaning you have to look at the context of story. Father and children example was given so person can understand that in order for a person you love you go as far as striking to not let them make grievous mistake. In case if married women in Islam adultery, disbelief, and debauchery, using foul languages etc. are the things which requires a husband to do all the things to his wife to prevent her from making a mistake. Learn full context so you have better understanding
@@j.j7185 strike the conscious, not hit physically. Plus there's a step before that, to refuse to share the bed and most men will beat a woman and still will expect to bed her,
Is there a punishment for a husband beating his wife, if the wife did not do anything bad but he just so easily get angry and doesn't think before beating his wife? Does islam protects also the wife being abused by a bad husband? And if the husband doesn't support his wife financially , physically emotionally and spiritually. What will happen to the forsaken wife? If the man's reason for being bad to his wife is just he want to get another woman. He does bad thing to his wife. So the wife as he think will leave him because of his bad character, if it is by his own intention he hurt his good wife, ehat punishment does islam provide for the abused wife?
Yes, there is punishment for a man if he beats his wife for no reason. The wife can divorce her husband if he doesn't support her financially or physically.
It is accepted if she doesn't want to live with him as he doesn't fulfill her rights. Islam gives the choice to the woman that what she wants, she wants to live with him or not, the husband will get his punishment for treating her unjustly on the day of judgement. I hope this answers your questions.
My answer to Dr Zakir about if my son wants to jump out from a widow if I will slap him? I have kids and the love I have towards them will make me to call him and put him questions calmly not aggressive to understand why he wants to jump and kill himself, try to reason with him, correct and teach him , this is love . "I believe is the same love with God". I understand people these days are always aggressive to their kids, without knowing how to approach them. And trust me when you approach children in a good and calm way, they will never think of jumping out through the window to kill himself, unless if the parents are treating them wrongly then that will make the child wants to kill himself because the child is not getting love from the parents. My own opinion "pls don't bite me" 😊
Please my beloved ones, we should stop slapping or hitting kids when they want to do what they don't understand, is our job as a parents to call them to their understanding, that's why we're parents. We can only hit or slap kids why they really getting out of control after getting many times warning from their parents. This is how I am with my kids, and everything goes smoothly and lovely. I believe is the same thing with our father in Heaven
i believe beating kids is necessary, very necessary, but it is a tool not a weapon, It is a tool to mold them, and we all know honestly, that children don't listen to words , sometimes they do, but most if the times when they don't. My parents beat me when I was a child, but in limit, I still remember I used to cry so much when they did so, but now I really realize that they especially my mom didn't do so to satisfy her anger, not at all, she did it to mold me into a good person, and I did become a good person because of her and my father's beatings, And I am so glad they did so, because child needs authority, children have less to no fear of God.
but parents should beat their children when it is absolutely necessary, not for every small thing, I am so glad that I had such good mother who knew this.

Just as the water is on your counter, the water in your yard is perfectly fine.” You’re just left like, ummm yeah, okay.
*Matthew 10:34-35* 34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law 34 אַל־תַּחְשְׁבוּ כִּי בָאתִי לְהָטִיל שָׁלוֹם בָּאָרֶץ לֹא בָאתִי לְהָטִיל שָׁלוֹם כִּי אִם־חָרֶב: 35 כִּי בָאתִי לְהַפְרִיד בֵּין אִישׁ וְאָבִיו וּבֵין בַּת וְאִמָּהּ וּבֵין כַּלָּה וַחֲמוֹתָהּ.
34 Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. This sits fine with me. It is something I have personally seen over and over throughout my Christian life. But, in order to understand the translation, you need to look at the entire context of this scripture. What does Jesus mean by “sword”? His meaning is revealed in the following verses, which is why it is important not to take verses out of context. Consider verses 35-39. 34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household. 37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Jesus is talking specifically here about familial relationships, especially the interpersonal dynamics of a Christian’s closest family members. He is talking about a situation in which there are both believers and unbelievers within the same household, or within the immediate family unit. This creates conflict which is the “sword” Jesus speaks of. Consider verse 37: Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. This is what a true believer is called to do, which is to love Jesus/God above all things including other family members. This creates friction and conflict. When one family member decides to follow Jesus in this kind of absolute way, other family members will likely despise this decision. Why? Because those who follow Jesus in this kind of way look completely crazy and are generally viewed as “having gone off the deep end”. If this unbeliever begins to then express these concerns to the Christian, it will likely widen the divide. This is actually a mild form of persecution. In islam, it is common for family members to be disowned or even killed for breaking with islam and following Jesus. This is a very real situation for many Christians all over the earth. Similar situations can happen in communist countries. If you look at the two verses just prior to to verse 34, you see that the context of these verses is indeed foretelling these things. 32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. A person who decides to follow Christ must come to terms that he/she will face persecution for their faith. At best they will be ridiculed, and at worst they may be martyred. These verses are meant to be an encouragement from the Lord to His followers. He is saying these things so that they are not surprised when people hate them because of their faith. Just a dozen verses earlier in the same chapter, Jesus says: 21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. I hope you can see clearly now the context of the “sword” Jesus speaks of in verse 34. It means that a Christian should expect persecution. These verses are both encouragements and warnings to believers. Verses 37 and 38 really sum up the issue: 38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. The message for Christians is this: A relationship with Jesus is most precious, but comes at a cost. Yet He is worth enduring all of these earthly trials, which surely includes persecution and ridicule (or worse) from your own family members. This is the Sword Jesus speaks of. Truth is, if you have ever despised or hated a Christian, you have helped fulfill the words of Jesus.
I don't know why we keep saying the wives of the Prophet are the best examples to Muslim women. This is completely wrong because the best example is Fatima and no one else. In a society of that time, it was custom to slap or hit women even in Europe or anywhere else in the world. So, Omar and Abu Bakar slapping their daughters is of no surprise. As for verse 4:34, most Muslims, sadly enough, interpret it wrongly. The verb dharaba doesn't mean beating or hitting at all. When Allah says, "dharaba allaha mithaalan" doesn't mean Allah hit an example but rather Allah gave or came up with an example. When Allah says, idha dharabtum fi sabeelillah ", it doesn't mean if you hit in the name of Allah but rather if you leave/depart/set forth in the name of Allah. So, you see here how the sense of the verb changes according to the context. Therefore, the verb "fadhribhunna" means leave them and not hit them because it doesn't serve any purpose but rather the opposite.
If a muslim beats his wife lightly. Then that means he had no reason to hit his wife. the muslim scholar in this post is giving a watered down excuse because he knows that back in mohammad's time muslim men did not beat their wives lightly. He is giving this excuse because he is trying to camouflage Muslim men in this present day.
@@martychavis4859 No the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known for treating his wife with utmost kindness never even asking one for any domestic chore, even sewing his buttons himself, washing his own clothese, sweeping the floor himself etc. However million dollar question for you: How many Christian priests have raped innocent boys in the 2000 years you have been perpetrating these lies about Jesus being God (Astaghfirullah)? @@lisalisa-w2c watch 7:00 onwards, you'll get what i was referring to. Why the woman can't do the same? So many teachings are always about criticising and controlling women, while there is no sense of accountability mentioned for the men who do those same things, and this is because of patriarchal society and islam being for the patriarchal society. This is discouraging for women because what if the husband is a cheater and she wants to punish him? But no? She's supposed to just quietly separate? While he gets to beat her (even if "symbolically") and couple other things as well. For example: men who are righteous will get 72 angels for him in heaven, what about women? What do they get? Besides that what is already available for the man too, what's the "special reward" for women in heaven? Things like this are discouraging. Like most of the time there is punishment and degradation for women (lesser beings in intelligence and religion, lesser beings than men overall) and very little reward if you compare materialistically. Anyways, I'm just mainly emphasising things that are discussed mostly, I'm Sure that there must be special rewards for women too, and I'm sure that women are not "less than" men, its just how the religion is presented, and how it makes you feel. It feels unjust.
The light "beating" is a last resort. A hit with a miswak (which is twig-like and less than the length of a person's hand) and when you're not allowed to leave a mark, is it really a "beating"? This is one of those questions that non-Muslims like to ask over and over again. The way they carry on, you would think that no non-Muslim man had ever hit his wife!
*Luke 14:26* If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even their own life-such a person cannot be my disciple

Zakir Naik didn't really answer the question part 2. He said beating wife lightly is akin to beating with a handkerchief anywhere but the face, so it's cute and ok. If the wife does it too, why would the man retaliate? Isn't beating with a handkerchief harmless and relaxed? Let's say she decided to hit a little harder, like just a tiny bit that doesn't leave marks. Why would this "stronger" human being who is her husband, infuriate to the point of retaliating which would hurt her worse than it hurt him. Do you compete with people who are lesser in strength or inferior to you? Would you compete in a race as a professional athlete with a rookie? it's stupid. Zakir's logic and psychology is weak. I would say you listen to Mufti Menk and Nouman Ali Khan instead of some Indian(yeah Indian men are twisted).
Even Nouman Ali Khan & Mufti Menk are Indian origin. You didn't understand. it's symbolic as a final warning to discipline a disobedient wife, even after this if wife doesn't change her behaviour she can be divorced. I think you are a r a c i s t against Indians.
You should learn diff of emotions in male and female and learn if god made us then he know better than us then ourselves and it is a order to Muslims women not to non Muslims and if you know what is the meaning of Muslim(submission to god) you shouldn’t question Allah as it is the order from the one who created you
Hello sir, I am uneducated on this subject so I just have a quick question for you. In the Qur’an it says “if anyone slays a human being-unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth-it shall be as though he had slain all mankind;”- Question- does this mean that killing anyone of another religion, or someone who just doesn’t believe is accepted? - extreme- “can a Muslim walk into a church and kill the priest because he is spreading corruption in the eyes of allah?” I’m asking these questions because I truly don’t know the answer. Thank you for the free education khuda hafiz ❤
Corruption as in for example a king commanding his army to invade a muslim city just for oil. No other reason. That's what the corruption refers to. But you can't just kill. There's many alternatives before killing which you can research, but the last resort or worse case scenario is killing.
And logically speaking it won't make sense to even have this sentence in the Quran if it meant anyone who isn't a muslim that is religious is spreading corruption and should be killed. Thats like 6 billion people. And that goes against everything in the quran. The word "murder" wouldn't be relevant if it's permissable to kill over half of the population.
no it is haraam becuse that priest may accept islam in one point of his live and if that priest accepts islam and marrys a women and have kids and tought them about islam now that priest is not spreading courrupsion he is spreading islam
@@NADERXD-4 I am a bit confused! So, the only reason a Muslim should not kill a Christian priest is that he could be a potential Muslim in future ❓ So, how about all the Islamic suicide bombers killing innocent people? How about Muslim nations fighting against each other? how about ongoing fight between Palestine and Israel? Are all these killings “haram” ?
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 12, Number 770: - Quran says that all Muslims - every single one of them - will be taken to Hell. The “Day of Resurrection” or “Qiyamah” refers to the time of the end. This means, even as you are reading this article, Muhammad is in “Hell” awaiting to be rescued. This fact is further substantiated by the admission that even pious Muslims who pray regularly will be consumed by fire, leaving only the “marks of their prostration” untouched. According to the above Hadith, the bodies of those in “Hell” will be consumed by fire. “At that time - the Day of Resurrection - they will come out of the Fire as mere skeletons.” In corroboration with the above Hadith, the Qur’an says that all Muslims - every single one of them - will be taken to Hell. Surah 19:71: “It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell.” (Sarwar) “There is not one of you who shall not pass through the confines of Hell.” (Dawood) And the very next verse tells us:
*John 15:6* If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned

I agree. There's no excuse for abuse.
You are wrong, I am an Arabic speaker and the word In the Quran is “adrib” which means to hit

Exactly
i believe beating kids is necessary, very necessary, but it is a tool not a weapon, It is a tool to mold them, and we all know honestly, that children don't listen to words , sometimes they do, but most if the times when they don't.

You have to have a lot of confidence and a massive amount of knowledge to stand in front of that many Muslims and take questions, and give answers that are accepted.
After attaining that much knowledge, confidence would come naturally.
“Hobby” respect the research
He just gives examples of different situations and acts like they’re all connected. I might say, “The water doesn’t run out of my yard after a heavy rain. What can I do to fix this?” He will reply by saying, “Imagine the water on your countertop. It isn’t so terrible having the water there as it may break up spilled foods by soaking in. Just as the water is on your counter, the water in your yard is perfectly fine.” You’re just left like, ummm yeah, okay.
I was about to write that. He does it every time.
*Matthew 10:34-35*
34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law
Just a dozen verses earlier in the same chapter, Jesus says:
21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
I hope you can see clearly now the context of the “sword” Jesus speaks of in verse 34. It means that a Christian should expect persecution. These verses are both encouragements and warnings to believers. Verses 37 and 38 really sum up the issue:
38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
The message for Christians is this: A relationship with Jesus is most precious, but comes at a cost. Yet He is worth enduring all of these earthly trials, which surely includes persecution and ridicule (or worse) from your own family members. This is the Sword Jesus speaks of.
Truth is, if you have ever despised or hated a Christian, you have helped fulfill the words of Jesus.
wow, good knowledge session.
There is no God but Allah❤
Source: "My dumb ass brain."
And in Jesus' time you Christians claim that a "crucifixion" was the done thing - not a good comparison to "tapping lightly" is it?

@@lisalisa-w2c listen 7:00 onwards, you might get what i reffered to here
@@lisalisa-w2c watch 7:00 onwards, you'll get what i was referring to.

Hello sir, I am uneducated on this subject so I just have a quick question for you. In the Qur’an it says “if anyone slays a human being-unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth-it shall be as though he had slain all mankind;”-
Question- does this mean that killing anyone of another religion, or someone who just doesn’t believe is accepted? -
extreme-
“can a Muslim walk into a church and kill the priest because he is spreading corruption in the eyes of allah?”
I’m asking these questions because I truly don’t know the answer.
Brother has asked a very good question………😊

I am a bit confused!
So, the only reason a Muslim should not kill a Christian priest is that he could be a potential Muslim in future ❓
So, how about all the Islamic suicide bombers killing innocent people?

“At that time - the Day of Resurrection - they will come out of the Fire as mere skeletons.”
In corroboration with the above Hadith, the Qur’an says that all Muslims - every single one of them - will be taken to Hell.
Surah 19:71: “It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell.” (Sarwar)
“There is not one of you who shall not pass through the confines of Hell.” (Dawood)
