Hi Luke! As an aspiring event/wedding photograoher I love your videos. They are super helpful. Plus it feels like listening to a friend. Thanks for all the info you have in your vids!
These photos are next level. Honestly some of the best I've seen and I've watched a lot of different Wedding photog video and BTS. Really inspiring Luke.
I'm not done watching your video, which I'm currrently at your 6th pose. It was astounding! You said because that's one best way to put the bride on their best self, "...to calm down... to soak it all in." But there's something else that came on my mind right now: Most timeless, classic, women portraits, are on this kind of pose. It might surrely because painting is a long process while the model must stay still, but that's what it is! It's timeless and that's what is happening on your process. That's why it's so great! You nailed it. Now, I'll go back and play the 7th pose and try to finish the video.
Just finished your video and you gained a subscriber because of this #6 on the 'shot list'. I want to add: the thoughtfulness on the bride because we always hear (well, I can't say we 'know' as I'm a man), that their thoughts are so chaotic, so tense, and what else before, during, and after that special day, that a photographer helps not just to document every moment, but being also a help in simple poses... well, there you go, I don't know what to say anymore. Maybe a separate video just for this specific 'pose'? 😉
I love your videos sir but can you please make us a video of how your preset look on dark skin🙏🙏,coz some of we're in Africa and we would love to purchase this preset.
Which lense would you guys recomend for Sony a7III? I want to shoot weddings, baptisms and birthday parties. Is the Sigma 24-70 2.8 or Tamron 28-75 2.8 a good option?
Are you always switching between a bunch of focus modes or do you have a couple that are your main ones? I'm wondering how you manage to catch these moments and how you know which modes to use. I use the z6ii and sometimes struggle with knowing which mode to use and getting the focus point/box in place and by the time I've figured it out, the moment has passed or I have to try to recreate it, and I'm checking the photos for focus and not maintaining the flow of shooting
That's a great question, and could probably be an entire video! Most of the time I'm using the smaller box eye recognition, and I find it works pretty well. It focuses well even if I'm not shooting a person. And I use the little pad to move around the box to the point. Otherwise I'll use the smaller box (not the tiny one) for focusing, and use manual focus ring on my lens to get it exactly where I want, if it's an close up object. I really don't change my focus modes much at all. Hope that helps!
Subscribe! The way you make the bride and groom forget they are being photographed is very good.
FANTASTIC short but detailed enough background information on how to put a motive in mind into practice. Love it!
Wonderful video. Thank you so very much x

@@lukewtcleland Do you by chance have an opinion on the Tamron 35-150 for Nikon Z? Thinking of getting this all-rounder lens.

Hi
Is this film camera or editing like film?
Both! I shoot film & digital, and my preset is based on that film I shoot, so it blends really well.
@@lukewtclelandwhich preset do you use in your edits ?
@@jefuda I use my own preset I've developed over the past several years. You can find it in the store at lukecleland.ca
