Great interview.. It shows that Barefoot Pookie really was about that action.. Otherwise this OG from Inglewood Chain Gang wouldn't have said it. Kev didn't even have to question it. As soon as he mentioned his name bruh spoke on him with that mutual respect that some former rivals have for each other..👍👍
Yo Kev Mac....this is easily one of your top 3 interviews I have watched. Love it bro! I'm a strong believer that your video could put a end to some of the gang violence in Cali. Keep up the great work!!!!!
Growing up off Century and Hoover in the 70s I heard of Crips, Compton Crips, Swans, Brims, and maybe Piru. I don't really remember straight up bloods. I got sent to get my hair cut in Inglewood on the bus one day and in either a Kmart or Zody;s parking lot a bunch of kids (I was 11-12) rode up on bikes and asked if I was family. I took it literally because from where I lived we never heard of Inglewood Family. I kept asking each one their last names. They thought I was punking them and wanted to beat my ass. Finally one of the older homies got it and told me don't come around there no more.
DAMMIT kev,you getting too damn good with yo director-izm ... that cut off riiiiight at the start of what we KNOW was about to be a good story!!! Lol tune in,for the NEXT... "KEV MAC VIDEOOOOOOS"
What l love hearing about the most is the uniforms. No colors but it was the style of what you wore which was more important. Now what messed me up is when he said that Tookie plucked out the buckshot after being shot. I know l would be freaking out and all that. I also love hearing about the Westside Crips and Barefoot Pookieand would love to hear from him on KMV again. S/O to Barefoot Pookie and wishing you all the best. I don't see how you can't be satisfied with getting laced with this LA Tribe History, strictly ground beeaking interviews and questions asked. Thank you Big Kev and this is a 5 Star interview and like l told you long ago. When ot xomes to this LA Tribe History you are Mr. Untouchable!!! Peace!!! #Salute!!!
The OG seems very transparent. This was a deep interview. I knew of the Brims, hats, canes and army surplus clothes. I didn't know Michael Christian was tied to the hood. The same Mike that competed in bodybuilding contests in the 80s and early 90s?
Re-watching (and half working 😀)... Pookie? Pookie was pretty active man. He was everywhere. I guarantee if something was going on, he was in the middle of it. He was about his Cripping, I know that much.

His name comes up a lot and was mentioned at Tootie Reese’s Funeral I believe he grew up on 6th and 60th would be a great interview but then the critics will say it was a damu in 60 hood so it don’t count. lol
Looking at Barefoot Pookie now, you can't imagine him being the terror that people say he was. The prison picture tells another story. Nigga looked dangerous.
Kev, you going to try to get some of these other OG's you have interviewed lately together? I don't know if it makes a difference with the youngsters, but it is interesting to watch them chop it up and show the world that tribalism needs to stop.
Kev Mac you should start asking these guys more about what Crips/Bloods they were friends with during the war or if they had close family members that were....I think it would add more into the “we’re all the same” mental that most of them are pushing now....I think there’s a misconception that it was just full fledge “blue or red” and we all know a lot of these guys were very close to ppl on the opposite side 🤷🏾♂️
@drunken master bruh a lot of things they don't talk about, could be some bodies connected to that shooting so it's not spoken about, that's a possibility, not saying it happened. Up that street knowledge..
Kev Mac the only one who actually keep it G about the Inglewood Crips, a lot of other people downplay the fact Inglewood had a lot of crips back in the day
I was always told that during the late 60s and early 70s one of the reasons why the Crips flourish was because a lot of the older generation was in Vietnam. Like the Brims and Avenues so forth. Their younger siblings gravitated to Crippin.

GG Black there was no first “Blood” that’s what y’all fail to realize ...hypothetically anybody that was fighting Crips at that time was “first” ....now who decided to give all of the anti-Crip alliances a name? That depends on who you ask 🤷🏾♂️

GG Black it do matter cause ppl keep asking “who started the Blood Alliance” as if 1 particular person or gang said “let’s be Bloods”, I think ppl get the “Blood Alliance” formation confused with how Crips started...totally different...because prior to what AC claims happened...there was no universal name it was just an “understanding” amongst anti-Crips.....
Lol bro said he just wanted to fill holes and give more info on IC some of y’all should just go to Inglewood and do the interviews I’d think you’d enjoy them much better.
If you were really in the streets and about that life, it really didn't matter which side you were from. History is history, and facts are facts. Back in the day, if a blood or a crip grew up in a certain area, they would usually know one another from some portion of their early childhood. So, most of these older dudes can speak on other sets from their area with precise facts. Today, a lot of these dudes don't even know the history of their own sets, and they don't know a lot of the homies from their sets. Back in the day, you'd better know who your adversaries were, or you could very easily end up on your back, or worse. It's just a different time😼
