Mailbag: discussion. 2 modes I’d love to see. 1. Team battle, each select 5 decks, use the same deck until it is defeated. Winner the first to defeat opponents 5 decks. 2. Practice mode, can set scenarios e.g. round 4, these are the cards on the board and in your hand, experiment. Similar to fighting games and setting the cpu actions. Thoughts?
I’ve always wanted a dev mode sandbox, pick the deck and the order for both you and a bot, choose your locations, and let it play out so you can test specific combos and strategies live rather than theory crafting.
The Team Battle mode should allow no duplicate cards too. I think that wouls be really interesting. You have 5 decks, but you only get 1 Shang Chi, 1 professor X, etc.
I think Alioth is fine where he is… All the incentives to play Professor X lockdown in multiple decks currently are the real problem - which also happen to empower Alioth.
I can think of two different changes to ProfX, 1) 1 turn duration, that kills the ramp out 2) Can't add power to anything, that kills Sunspot, Nebula, MsMarvel, BM, etc
The first change to Prof X should be a change to Ms Marvel (who needs one even without him) - they should make her bonus trigger with AT LEAST 2 cards with different costs. That will curb somewhat people throwing a solo-prof X on a lane, knowing they can easily dump +5 Power in there after the fact. This way they would at least have to sacrifice their Jeff to do it. Marvel-X is the more toxic iteration of Prof X , because traditionally one would assume a lane they lead by at least 4 power is safe from the opponent slamming Prof down. With miss Marvel - you somehow need to establish at least a 5+ lead BOTH left and right, which is just crazy.
I also COULD NOT pass on that Jane Foster variant. It's so gorgeous. I was waiting on her artgerm to purchase. But, now I'm over the moon with this one
I think it's important to note that Electro's ability is not the reverse of Havok's. In Electro's case, you just get whatever max energy you get normally, +1 energy from Electro each turn. In Havok's, it's removing the max number every time. From the way I'm reading it, if you played Havok on 2 and Electro on 3, you'd Be stuck on 3 energy for each remaining turn, assuming no other modifiers. As for most hated cards right now, it has to be Cyclops. They really need to make the HE cards more counter-able in the future. My favorites right now include Ravonna, particularly in the C3 shell, Ms. Marvel, and Valkyrie.
I hit Infinite for the third month in a row playing Cozy's Thanos Control Five's. My favorite games were yoinking Invisible Woman turn 5 and watching them discard their entire hand! 😹
After finally getting demonized Elektra and landing the god split on it, I’ve been enjoying playing a move deck with her that the game gave me with a smart deck. Miles, Silk, and Kraven being the MVPs. Jean, Cap, and Shang Chi/Enchantress (for blob specifically, I hate him so much) have been also doing wonders
Man the N64 nostalgia trip was so fun! The screen watching in Perfect Dark was so real!!!! One of my favorite games of all time is Perfect Dark and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I loved playing Worms Armageddon with all the shenanigans you can do in that game it was so fun.
I never looked at anyone else's screen -- until probably somewhere in my mid 30's, when I found out all my friends had always looked at each other's screen. Blew my mind. 🤦♂
Seems like SD could open up side-ladder tournaments for everyone. Like, Here's a 1-hour ladder tournament. could use tickets to get in and then prizes for top 25% or something.
The first Havok I had played against me came after my opponent first turn snapped, then Havok, turn 3 Viper. I had Beast, and picked up a 1 cost, 8 power card for turn 6. He donated 8 cubes.
I'm so undecided. I really want Nico but next weeks a great week and I might pass to guarantee the lot then. I'll probably hold out till the final day before making a decision.

The BEST change for Loki is to FILL your hand with enemy cards instead of replacing it. I think Alex said that a couple of episodes ago or someone in the comment section said it.

The fact you were surprised that someone did well with ramp and not a Loki deck proves the state. There's a difference between a player being familiar enough with what other decks would have and the game being in a competitive state. Just alone that if I had that kind of knowledge, but literally have 0 of key cards for the top 3 decks in the game mean it's luck based and not a competitive game. That some locations can just fuck you and if your opponent knows your deck, they can just lock you down shows it can never be seriously competitive
I understand prof x at 2 power is crazy but i think it has to happen his ability is so fucking annoying at this point its making me play less for the first time since shuri red skull
They keep sightings loki's placing in the conquers tournament, but ignoring that everyone was forced to use auto deck builder. So no one could play any new meta decks like Thanos
Goldeneye was the best. We did a tournament once where we split the output to multiple TVs and put cardboard over the other team's half so you couldn't track them. Then we'd play stuff like the Archives with grenade launchers. So much more stressful.

Heya everyone, so personally I think Havok can find some use in Prison decks, though he eliminates the use of Prof X, he does power up a Storm lockout, and if you have Prof X you can just not play Havok and take the normal line. I've done some math calculations where I compare decks with Havok against several different types of decks (SheNaught, Standard Prison, and Junk) and a deck built with Havok focusing on 3 cost cards or less (such as in a Destroy package or a low cost Prison package) matches up on total power played and Effective Power per Energy spent. I have all the data in excel if anyone wants to look at the pure numbers, but the results are: TEP/E (total effective power per energy spent) CPE (card power per energy spent) SheNaught - Avg TPE - 4.5 Avg CPE - 0.7 Viper Junk - Avg TPE - 2.0 Avg CPE - 0.4 Prison - Avg TPE - 1.8 Avg CPE - 0.2 Havok Prison - Avg TPE - 2.8 Avg CPE - 0.4 Havok Destroy - Avg TPE - 2.8 Avg CPE - 0.5
I have a big doubt with Havok. I think that the -1 max energy each turn is not going to be as you say. If it's the opposite of Electro, then in turn 3 you will have 2 energy, in turn 4 you will have 3 energy, in 5 have 4 energy...I don't know if SD has told you that is as you say, but when I read Havok, I understand the way I explained it. In fact, if Electro was the same way you say with Havok, then at turn 4 you will have 5 energy, but at turn 5 you will have 7, and it's not that way. I'm so confused with that lol 😅
I think the same. It seems that all of the Snap TH-camrs are on the same page though. If so, the wording needs to be adjusted on the card. Nowhere does it mention capping energy. The way it reads is like you said, a reverse Electro in return for +4 power on Havok.
newer player, but am a just slight of competitive HS/MTG player and I will def say marvel snap is 100% competitive. Once you get the card knowledge down, then the RNG plays less and less of an effect in matches, but it's still def there though. Great video
The format for this Conquerers really was perfect to display the competitive viability of Snap. Yes, there is a lot of RNG, but it all evens out over time, and with the speed of Marvel Snap games, you can get a ton of games in over that period.

I would just like to say that I really appreciate you guys. I feel so burned out from snap, both from grinding and from the feeling that older cards more available to f2p players are unjustly targeted by nerfs. Regardless of this I still come here to watch you guys talk about the game. I really enjoy the fact that you're both so positive about the game, while still not shying away from bringing light to the negatives.
If I wasn't already subscribed, I would have had to for the Worms Armageddon love. My friends and I played countless hours of that game at sleep overs.
As long as competitive advantages are locked behind paywall, the game can't be competitive and never will be. There needs to be a sufficient playerbase in order for the game to be competitive - right now this playerbase consists of whales throwing money at Second Dinner.

It's weird hearing Cozy saying getting Wave/Havok by turn 5 is too unreliable IMMEDIATELY after gushing over Mister Negative. The deck's 75% bricks.

I would just like to say that I really appreciate you guys. I feel so burned out from snap, both from grinding and from the feeling that older cards more available to f2p players are unjustly targeted by nerfs.
Regardless of this I still come here to watch you guys talk about the game. I really enjoy the fact that you're both so positive about the game, while still not shying away from bringing light to the negatives.

There needs to be a sufficient playerbase in order for the game to be competitive - right now this playerbase consists of whales throwing money at Second Dinner.
