@@Quix32 definitely has a good foundation, the combat is feeling good already. Looking forward to how things shape up as they expand and polish everything.
Great video! Hope to see more ashes content from you in the future. Also, I love when people compare this game that's in early alpha testing to fully released games that have been out for years... Gotta love the TH-cam comments section
@@AlexByars thank you! I'll be streaming it again this weekend 😊 And I agree. Game clearly has a long way to go still but anyone who knows anything about the game shouldn't have expected anything different. They've got a good solid foundation to build on so I'm excited.
It is very fun! Lot's of things that need to be tweaked and bugs/exploits/missing features that people are cheesing in PvP at the moment, but it's all a part of the alpha experience haha, once they've ironed out most of those things it should feel even better.
@@CarlosBellido-j6n definitely feel like the ranger has better single target with the barrage, snipe and headshot abilities. They've got some decent aoe too same way that the mage has some decent single target but I think ranger has the edge for single and mage has the edge for aoe
@@MonsDerrMan A mage will shit on a ranger if it's a fair fight. If a ranger can get a snipe off while invis then they'll probably win but if the mage know's they're there before the fight starts they win 99% of the time. All they have to do is TP in close then use the beam and ranger is dead.
Instead of PvP which is solely player vs player, or PvE which is solely player vs environment, PvX is player vs "x" or anything/everything together. So it mixes fighting both the environment and other players together at the same time.
Have over 400 hours in T&L and all I wanma do is play ashes.... a game in an early alpha state. Combat, movement and targeting are all better in ashes (tl feels like it was designed for mobile... because it was)
theyre gonna have to put a loooot of work into making the environment look better, its all just flat open lifeless surfaces. and godamn those spells create a lot of visual clutter. nothing i see here looks good.
@@AlexByars just stop the video at basically any frame and you will see the floors, walls and ceiling being flat uninspired same colored surfaces with nothing that make it interesting or aesthetically pleasing to look at. theres no banners, windows, torches, wood to break up the brick, no flora or fauna.. its completely uninspired. you gotta add something to set an atmosphere, even if its mold, moss or cobwebs. theres no artistry here, its like generic looking building assets from a store they just plopped in without adding or subtracting anything from it. its incredibly cheap and boring. and i would tone down the spell effects by like 300%, they look insanely out of place given the atmosphere the game is currently selling. also reduce the size of basically the entire world by 30% or more, cause everything looks "grand and epic" - but the lack of personal touch as i explained above, makes everything look flat, open, boring and uninspired.. a smaller world would help conceal some of these issues. basically, one barrel in a concert hall looks out of place, but a barrel in a smaller storage room gives the storage room some "soul".
This was genuinely awesome to watch. AoC is coming along way better than I thought it would be at this stage

Mage is the king of AoE, but what about the ST? I read people saying Ranger has better Single-Target DPS. What's your opinion?

@sirundying yeah pretty much
movement and animations, hit registering feels floaty and clunky in this game, they somehow still cant capture what wow classic have a crisp combat
By the time this game comes out I feel like its already outdated.
I think a lot of people fear that same thing, I hope that won't be the case but we will see
graphics are outdated already..
