Kurt from Pro-Ject Audio takes us through how turntables actually work and how vinyl records are made. Using the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon - www.project-au...
You would be so wrong. Sound is a pure a natural analog source and travels in nice smooth waves. CDs on other hand try to mimic those waves with what look like square steps. No matter how the bit rate the tiny steps will always be squared off and only try to mimic the smooth natural wave that is captured on vinyl. Sure it sounds cleaner with no crackles and pops but overall it lacks the warmth of vinyl. And don't get me started on MP3s.
Mr. Krabs that maybe your biased opinion. Elton John says vinyl récords sound better but What does he know, being a musician he knows What real music should sound like, right?
" If it sounds better to my ears, it is better. It's as simple as that. ' - so fabulously put !
Both formats can sound great with the right recording ;)
