The problem with that is the reason the United States took Puerto Rico is because it protects the mainland from enemies from other countries, this is what I heard there is a castle in the corner of the island supposedly the US military is in that castle with all kinds of technical equipment, this is what I remember about 30 years ago I don't know if it has changed,, and another thing just found out that even in the revolution war, there was a Spanish Captain with a few soldiers from Haiti cube and Puerto Rico, in Louisiana, they didn't do that much fighting, but they were with general George Washington side in the revolution war,
