I'd love if there were more (playable) boss characters. Maybe the final boss/major bosses could be on more of a grand scale like in 2012, but for mini bosses or sub bosses they could have more "traditional" boss vehicles. And if there were a decent number of them, maybe some of them could be on branching paths in the tournament mode, like how some games give you a choice between 2 stages. There could be new boss characters, but there's quite a number of old characters that could be bosses, such as Minion, Dark Tooth, Primeval, Warhawk, Juggernaut, and Slayer (the yellow monster truck from the Brothers Grimm boss fight, the red one was Hammerhead who I imagine would be a normal character while Slayer is basically just a boss version) In 2012's online mode, team games had each team limited to one Juggernaut and if he died that was it, could be kinda cool to have boss characters treated similar (think heroes in the Star Wars Battlefront games if you're familiar with those), for non-team modes I imagine something similar to the Shine Sprite mode, the mode where you have to hold onto the Shine Sprite for as long as you can before someone takes it from you, only instead of winning when your time is up you get to play as a boss once you hold whatever item for long enough
For its: 1) Tournament mode. 2) Story mode akin what fighting games get. 3) A setting closer to 1 and endings like that. Calypso twisting witches has gotten old quick. 4) A battle map where you can fight against all enemies. Imagine Cyburbia type map but with enemies in every corner.
If they could make a twisted metal game with good maps and good characters and good ai you could a PlayStation exclusive that could rival Mario kart as a car game that just fun to replay and
Pretty decent list. I think they need to focus having single player content the most because not everyone wants to play online. It needs to have good unique maps such as different landmarks around the world, but some we haven’t seen before like the streets of Italy destroying the tower of Piza or Washington DC, but actually have a big map to it and make it so we can destroy the White House and the Washington Monument. They also have to make each vehicle feel different from one another and have different specials, unlike 2012 did by having the same special for most cars. I would love a ranking system and a levelling system like the old Cod’s used to have. Weapons also have a satisfying impact when using them like how TM2 did. It needs to also have dodging since there will be multiplayer.
I would love to see a new Twisted Metal with a bunch of characters from all the previous games like the classic ones and also underrated cars like Pit Viper Club Kid Auger Pizza Boy Orbital etc, classic arcade mode with comic book endings, music of course Rob Zombie/ White Zombie at least 3 songs and other metal bands alike, every stage must have a boss like TM4 I will bring back Crusher Primeval Minion Dark Tooth Darkside Calypso and new ones for that role, at least 10+ stages from previous games and new ones categorized as small medium and large with destructive enviroments and secret paths/shortcuts, customization like color editor for every car, unlockable stickers, special colors, artwork. Custom music, deathmatch, free for all, capture the flag, boss challenge (You against all the bosses at the same time), Mel returning as the voice of Calypso and PC version too.
While I personally disagree with introducing season rewards (because it's too likely to trigger a shift into a battle pass system) the idea of unlocking cosmetics is really good. The thought of seeing a modern graphics Spectre, then unlocking 3's version of it with the badass Viper? Chef's kiss.
1 : Not a main focus on multi player I am not against multi player but actually put a good amount of work in to the single mode 2: Car customization like in TM4 where you make your own twisted metal vehicle 3: a cool function would be way to basically have your own type of wish granted with your own original idea and own original design for you the player but can choose any character if you want 4: a much more immersive game kinda like the fantasy rpg games like final fantasy and elder scroll 5: one city one battle ground that is an open world kinda how you see in GTA games in short bring Harbor city into completion anyone knows anything about TMB Harbor City knows that they were trying to do that 6: the Next TM game to have it's own sound like you have heard in TM1 TM2 TMSB and TMB 7 a much more destructible environment to such a point that certain things that get destroyed could block off certain areas unlock others force to find another way around blast through another area to get through and even have building dust fall to the road vehicle and surrounding areas in sort making it a literal warzone 8: put it across all platforms including the pc 9: no cross console capabilities in multi player online why because PC players can have an advantage over console players which I just think is unfair 10 : To allow the use of a racing Sim set up after the game evolves cars why use a wheel pedal gear shift and hand brake up if use choose with force feedback after it would make the game more immersive but also allow the use of standard controls 11: either (A) have the Machine Guns over heat and won't cool down until you pressing the button and have fair cool down (B) have to load the Machine Guns up before the battle starts (C) have to collect bullet pick ups for the machine Guns 12: be able to customize your controls based on how you want to play 13: have a choice to play with classic handle or Simulation handling 14: to have upgrades for your vehicle whether you have a character vehicle or you own as 15: VR as an option not a requirement
This was a great read! I agree with a lot of your points and think they would add to a great twisted metal game in the future. Thanks for taking the time to type this up!
For me, I value the single player aspects of Twisted Metal more than the multiplayer but in this day and age, yeah it's probably gonna need a strong multiplayer for longevity's sake. An idea I'd probably klep from the 989 era would be the option/ability to make your own vehicle for single player and such
My main request, don’t make every single character Sweettooth 😂… I don’t know what the hell they were thinking on the reboot. That killed the hype for me
Be cool to have so many characters added so during single player after you kill an enemy they are gone rest of playthrough!!! Way more realistic. Even when i was 12 playing original TM on ps1 back in day i always found it wierd when thumper was in my next match after i killed him very last map!!!!
I also found that so weird. It makes sense as to why they do that, but it's definitely confusing killing an enemy and seeing them show right back up in the next match 😂
I want an entire remake/port of ALL previous Twisted Metal games, but brought not just to Playstation but Xbox as well. Sorry, I don't have a PS4 or PS5. They remade Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. Bring back: Twisted Metal (1995) Twisted Metal 2: World Tour Twisted Metal III Twisted Metal 4 Twisted Metal: Black Twisted Metal: Small Brawl Twisted Metal: Head-On [Extra Twisted Edition] Twisted Metal (2012)
Considering how much destructibility there was in the PS3 I don't see it being too much of a technical hurdle to achieve that on the PS5. Also just for fun I'd love to have a dollar value be tied to everything you can destroy so at the end of a match you can see how much damage you caused.
I’d rather see a remake of one of the old games (preferably TM2), but I have a feeling that if there’s a new game, it’ll probably be based on the upcoming show. I’ll give it a chance but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
Yeah, I'd be willing to bet that if there's a new game coming, it'll somehow be tied in with the show. I basically feel the same way, I don't want to get my hopes up, but I can't lie and say I'm not incredibly excited for it. Anyways, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
So my dream is they pretty much make a twisted metal black 2 I guess we can just say the Canon winner was Sweet Tooth? we find out Calypso is just a name that the Host is given, so the REAL calypso shows up and its the guy from the 2nd game Same Asylum theme. The characters are a mix of new n old, Some being absolute psychos, while some just being mentally sick or are good people just gone down a bad path? If they were going to do DLC characters they should price them smart or realize that people are just going to watch gameplay online.
I just hope it has an decent campaign at all and it isn't multiplayer only since I don't play MP that much. I actually like the PS3 game's campaign structure and story, I liked the attempt at adding more variety and I liked how there was an overarching plot as opposed to 10 characters where every story might as well be in their own bubble. This entire reboot could go either way with that said.
Agree with most of this except the exclusivity discussion. I understand where you're coming from with the mindset of 'more platforms to play on more chance to increase the player base', but Sony is a console manufacturer first and foremost. And as a console manufacturer, you gotta give people a reason to justify buying your console. And exclusives have always a huge part of that in the game industry since...well, ever. And it is Sony's IP after. They don't really have any obligation to release it on a competitor's platform when their main goal is to get people to play theirs. Just seems counterproductive. PS5 is already starving as it is for quality exclusives to justify its purchase. Nintendo didn't get the Switch to be selling like hot cakes by releasing their games on other company's consoles after all. I believe you can still have a healthy player base on one console if you know what you're doing. I feel the problem with Twisted Metal is less it being locked to being an exclusive and more the inconsistent quality from game to game (especially with the later entries), lack of marketing and promotion, and especially the long droughts between releases. It's hard to have any hope of bringing in new players when you're not releasing new games for such long periods of time in the first place.
I agree with everything you said, except crossplay with PC. I wouldn’t mind for it to be on other consoles, but not PC. PC cheaters are a major problem for multiplayer games. While people can possibly cheat on consoles, cheating on PC is much, much easier. I am 100% against pc/console crossplay for any multiplayer game. In theory, it should be awesome, but never is. Console players are always at a disadvantage against PC people, just because they are largely forced to play by the rules. If I want to play against PC people, I’ll install the game on my PC.
I would be okay with no cross play (even though personally I would prefer it), but I would at the very least like to see the game available on PC. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I just want Mel to return as the voice of Calypso

Nice to see a vid like this. I was the first ever person to upload a wishlist for TM PS3 back in 2009 lol subbed
Oh wow, that's awesome! Thank you for supporting the channel!

Need good SP, MP, Co-op & Online. Needs to be a complete package.
@@wallaceshawn-zk8iw True but focus on the single player content first. Then they can add servers and everything else later.
@@BigSlick98 Agreed tho.

One thing I wish for is a car customization mode, cause why not?
1 : Not a main focus on multi player I am not against multi player but actually put a good amount of work in to the single mode
2: Car customization like in TM4 where you make your own twisted metal vehicle
3: a cool function would be way to basically have your own type of wish granted with your own original idea and own original design for you the player but can choose any character if you want
4: a much more immersive game kinda like the fantasy rpg games like final fantasy and elder scroll
5: one city one battle ground that is an open world kinda how you see in GTA games in short bring Harbor city into completion anyone knows anything about TMB Harbor City knows that they were trying to do that
6: the Next TM game to have it's own sound like you have heard in TM1 TM2 TMSB and TMB
7 a much more destructible environment to such a point that certain things that get destroyed could block off certain areas unlock others force to find another way around blast through another area to get through and even have building dust fall to the road vehicle and surrounding areas in sort making it a literal warzone
8: put it across all platforms including the pc
9: no cross console capabilities in multi player online why because PC players can have an advantage over console players which I just think is unfair
10 : To allow the use of a racing Sim set up after the game evolves cars why use a wheel pedal gear shift and hand brake up if use choose with force feedback after it would make the game more immersive but also allow the use of standard controls
11: either (A) have the Machine Guns over heat and won't cool down until you pressing the button and have fair cool down (B) have to load the Machine Guns up before the battle starts (C) have to collect bullet pick ups for the machine Guns
12: be able to customize your controls based on how you want to play
13: have a choice to play with classic handle or Simulation handling
14: to have upgrades for your vehicle whether you have a character vehicle or you own as
15: VR as an option not a requirement
This was a great read! I agree with a lot of your points and think they would add to a great twisted metal game in the future. Thanks for taking the time to type this up!
Bring back vehicle customization and make it more expansive. Also have skins for the characters themselves.
For me, I value the single player aspects of Twisted Metal more than the multiplayer but in this day and age, yeah it's probably gonna need a strong multiplayer for longevity's sake.

Bring back:
Twisted Metal (1995)
Twisted Metal 2: World Tour
Twisted Metal III
Twisted Metal 4
Twisted Metal: Black
Twisted Metal: Small Brawl
Twisted Metal: Head-On [Extra Twisted Edition]
Twisted Metal (2012)

rob zombie needs to do the soundtrack at least for the story
Love me some Rob Zombie
I think nowadays non exsclusivity is more real than adding local co-op

Yeah, I really hope that the single player experience isn't neglected as that is how a ton of fans prefer to enjoy the games
