I must recommend the Whitchurch 10K in (fairly obviously) Whitchurch in the north of Shropshire. It’s all road but as my first actual race I really enjoyed it. Am I partial as it’s my home town, perhaps, but as a beginner runner I think the crowd is great throughout and there’s a water station managed by some of our local cadets. We also have a ParkRun at Alderford Lake which is primarily grass and a little bit of gravel everynow and again. I did attend RTT but was only old enough for the 10k. Did notice myself by the pub though waiting for my dad to come past and do the last length with him. Glad you enjoyed the race and have definitely gained a subscriber!
