Jaw dropping , an eye opener to see Fahad being so honest and focused what he want for him. Yes he has arrogance but he know the heartbeat of the people. I have never watched any of his morning shows, but he is right he sees the common people up close and learning all about them. Hassan you are the best interviewer and Salam to your decency. No doubt the biggest interview of the year.
I don't think Jalan was a bad drama. The drama shows the reality of life. As a parent it showed me that you should never be biased towards 1 child and make the other sacrifice. All in all, I think it's a good eye opener
I get entertained watching Jalan and it dramas like Jalan go well with its respective audiences like me. I can take Jalan, I watch it. I don't watch Nand, because I don't like it. Simple.
Watching this interview was so depressing. It's so dangerous that the TV industry's fate is in the hands of these few people who onlyyy care about money. He absolved himself of the moral responsibility that comes with creating art and is clearly uninterested on its impact on the society. His nonchalant answer on the thappar and suicide question showed how ignorant he is of the deeper impact these regressive plotlines can have on people. This interview was quite a reflection on his arrogance and unwavering ignorant opinions. Thanks for doing this Hassan. I suppose it would not have been easy posing such tough questions and then staying firm despite his rude tone, but you did a very fine job!
@@R-Ash28 Absolutely true! But i believe, when people choose to ignore the constant feedback or advices ... they learn it the hard way! Jalans and Nand might happen in his house one day too :( May be then he'll sit and think about the lousy justification he gave here in this interview!
Market forces will always drive content no matter what. No one can govern which content will go on TV as an artist. Yes, govt interference is another topic altogether.
I think it's a symbiotic relationship. He's making dramas, he's got to make stuff that will sell. Like it or not, Salwars and Sarees will sell max in a South Asian country not in the US. Know your audience/customer. I'm not sure about the drama Jalan and all but to hold him responsible for society in general is not fair. He's making a very valid point. The audience that loved GOT will have a problem with regressive dramas. How can we justfiy that? So, I understand your point, and I do agree, the host/interviewer is superb. Indian interviewers can learn a lot from him! Love from India!
Main Points of Fahad Mustafa's Interview: 1. My audiences are people who attend Jalsas (he wanted to say my audiences are uneducated people). 2. Dekhna Hai Dekho, Nahi Dekhna to Remote to Hai Na? 3. Dramas are not to educate people, they are to entertain them. 4. Even Hollywood is making crap content so I'd do the same (conveniently ignored their quality stuff). 5. Ma to Paisa Kamaney aya hoo, Is mein kya burai hai?

This was hell of an interview, so real and true loved every single second of it . Its like listening to the reality on screen. Love the fact that Host didn’t ask silly questions or silly games and just let the person speaks his heart out . Well done 👍
Even if this interview is in bad taste, he did highlight plenty of issues and how his creativity is trapped as a producer too. Entertainment does get influenced through our society and vice versa.
When art becomes business... And when society is lead by influencers like him.. We need even more shows like something haute who can bring some change in the way these businesses work... Love from Canada.. 🍁
I have been a silent viewer of something haute since 2 years but today I am commenting because my respect for hassan has grew even more because the way he has been patient on absurd things said by Fahad Mustafa but still asked perfect questions. P.S I was a fan of Fahad Mustafa but after this interview I have realized that such producers are destroying the drama industry.
Hassan I must say you carried this interview with immense patience and conducted it with so much respect in your tone! Fahad on the other hand I must say has left a sour taste. A lot of deflection on his part. Also His belief about the type of audience that watches dramas is very miscalculated. I’m 22, born in Australia, grew up here my whole life yet i and all my desi friends watch Pakistani dramas. He cannot generalise his audience as jalasa going.
I think there needs to be a compilation of viewership to give these bozos an idea of viewers. I live in Boston and a local Nepali restaurant cook watches Pakistani dramas !
You people got no clue. You do realize that majority of their revenue comes from commercials etc. that are shown on TV. That means their main target should be to pull in as many Pakistani viewers that actually watch their TV channel (and not just youtube). I'm not saying this because I like the dramas Fahad Mustafa produces. I think majority (if not all) are bad but I get why he makes the dramas that he does.
I think you misunderstand him regarding Jalsa Audience. He clearly said that he caters for Jalsa going audience. If you, me and others like us have problem with this, then we dont need to watch his dramas.
So true, I live in Australia too and I’m not Pakistani not Indian. I can understand Urdu and write Hindi perfectly. Hence does that make me a jalasa viewer, where do you categorised me??? There is so many people like me watching Pakistani and Indian content daily. Do you think there isn’t any impact on us?? Fahad has knocked his feet with his own axe. This interview has showed us how narrow minded he is and how money minded he is. Jalan and Nand has been the worst dramas in all Pakistani drama history. I’m sure the list doesn’t end here.
He is an entertainer. He is a businessman. I don’t watch both those dramas so really it’s everyone’s choice what they watch and what they don’t. Fahad Mustafa was on point with his justification.
Nhi why can't we make dramas like Ertugrul or other good dramas? Hmari industry mein foreign content se sarte hain artists aur apna content behter nhi krte.. Why do we have to show such evil and greedy women in our dramas to make money like there's no humanity left in this world?!
And definitely he's going to produce more dramas like jalan and nand. I'm dead. He's not even accepting the flaws in the projects so whats the future of drama industry.
"TV is meant to entertain, let's not turn it into a school." Let that sink in!! (Fahad Mustufa ought to be an airhead, let's not force sanity out of him)
Hmmmm.bit disappointed with what he is saying.. .but can't really say he is entirely wrong. My take is , it is both entertainment and education. When a drama is purely for entertainment let it be healthy ,clean and wholesome entertainment and not dark and regressive. However, when a drama carries a message let it show the dark parts of our society, culture and psyche to educate the audience of the impact of darkness and lessons to be learnt.
a real airhead. tv is supposed to be entertaining with lessons to be learnt.. not dumb shit like stealing husbands and becoming evil conniving nands. hes an uneducated dummy
I completely condemn almost 80% of things he has said about dramas yet. Being a "superstar" that actually influences millions, it really doesn't suit him to say good messaging isn't important in a drama. The kind of time and attention that people give to such dramas, it is indeed the makers' responsibility to use their power for a good cause.
Fahad has a very strong point and I agree with him. On one hand people want our entertainment industry to grow and make more content whereas on other hand people want to put limitations as well. 'Thapar q mara' and 'negative q hai' etc. Agr chahte ho k internationally jane jao to us level ka content to bnana pare ga na. All he is saying is k jb Hollywood or bollywood k shows dekh k koi masla nai hota to apna content dekh k masla q ho raha hai. He is a true business minded person because he is also looking upon industry through financial point of view.
I am a little confused about Fahads stance on all of this. He’s defending his bad calls on projects but he is arguing he’s creatively limited at the same time. He doesn’t believe in Netflix hype of things but he totally watches Netflix. Sorry but you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Hassan you’re my role model that’s all I am gonna say. So professional so restrained.
@@noorrulhassan oof you hit a point there. But that shouldn't mean that you can't experiment with good content. Not just message oriented, but with unique storylines.

Garbage drama he said u have remote don't watch it . I haven't watch nand but my father watches it because he has nothing else to do and he said he finds it funny. He is right we all need to chill for few things.
Content can be entertaining, progressive and influential at the same time...Just because an Alpha Bravo Charlie or a Zindagi Gulzar Hai or a Yakeen ka Safar are made once in a decade does not mean that we end up justifying the crap made in between. Every production cannot be a masterpiece but atleast we can make shows that are reflective of the positives of our society (rather than negatives) so that we can put forward a narrative that represents a softer image of our people...Hassan you were an epitome of tehzeeb today ... Good Job !
@@fahadmalik5794 I disagree. Just because ZGH was more popular, doesn't mean it's the better drama. YKS had some really valuable life lessons and a brilliant storyline. While ZGH was good, unfortunately it had some patriarchal undertones which ruined it for me.
When a good director or producer is asked about their project, they talk about their vision for the story, the characters, their inspirations. Guys like fahad be like : this is what driver and chawkidar wants !
So, he can show up late for the morning show for which he's getting paid, behave unprofessionally etc but then go on to say that movie industry thrives on stars who don't throw tantrums and are easy to work with!
Bcuz morning show wasn't his passion or goal he did that for a reason which he defined also.... But movies and his acting is the thing which he enjoys and that is his passion that's why he is successful in it...
Hum TV, Sultana Siddiqui and Momina Duraid did a lot of hard work to get audience who watches Star Plus dramas to watch Pakistan dramas again. Fahad Mustafa has proudly made Pakistani dramas into Star plus soaps. He is truly Ekta Kapoor of our industry. Abhi he will start making dramas that are 100 episodes long. He will do everything to make money. And I feel that is the reaction of his father not earning enough during his peak. At the end of the interview, Hassan aap ke patience keh liye Tamgha-e-Imtiaz!!!
"TV is meant to be for entertainment and let's not turn it into school", I completely agree with this statement, but man, why are you repeating things in your drama like they repeat lessons in school? And TV shouldn't be the place for lessons, but there are certain moral and responsible acts that you do, but I guess since you are so full of absurd stories, that you yourself have turned into an absurd person.
I completely agree. Moreover, I get that it's nit school, but can one deny the fact that what you show on tv can leave a huge impact on people watching them? It is not JUST entertainment. These actors need to take some responsibility for their actions and choice of stories.
I have never watched Nand and only watched first few episodes of Jalan and didn't like them and stopped watching or even thinking about them. There's a plethora of media content out there to be viewed.
@@Apassionist Exactly, even I didn't watch Nand. And I didn't watch Jalan from the beginning. Just the last few episodes. But all I know is from the reviews. The names of these shows are enough for me to not watch it.
@@zeekhan92 Well by his content he does mean sexual content, as he mentioned this times. Sorry to say but good content can be made without showing explicit sexual content. If the script and story and direction is good, the people will watch it and will stop it from getting banned anyway.
I agreed and disagreed with a lot of stuff Fahad said. But some stuff he said was pretty wrong. Like at 16:40 he says Mirzapur, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Sacred Games are the same thing. So, Mirzapur, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Sacred Games are the same genre and have a similar dark tone to the show. Just because they are the same genre doesn’t mean they are the same. In that context then every romantic drama, with a girl and guy in it are the same, but they are not. That’s like saying Pyar ke Sadkay, Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai are the same thing. The difference lies in the way the story is told, the tone of the drama, the execution, and the characters. And nobody is saying that every film and drama has to have an overt message. It gets boring when every film or drama has a message. At 16:54 he says that Indian films don’t give any message. So, for some information: Akshay Kumar did Khatta Meetha, which was about corruption. He also did Pad Man. Salman Khan did Bhajrangi Bhaijaan, which was about humanity. The message was to help people no matter their nationality or religion Shahrukh Khan did Chak De India, Dear Zindagi, and Fan (which showed the problem with being obsessed with actors) I cannot give a description for all these films, but they have a message. And there are many more, like Zindagi Na Milega Dobara. Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan gave a message to live life to the fullest and not get so stressed about the small things that don’t matter. So did Dil Chahta Hai. 3 Idiots gave a good message to not force or put so much pressure on your children to pick a career. It talked about the problems university students face in India. Namastey London gave a good message on parent-child relationships. To say that these actors have never given a message is wrong. If you really think about it, every film has some good message. And again, nobody is saying that every film and drama has to have an in-your-face message. The problem with Nand and Jalan type dramas is not that they don’t have a good message, it is the execution and the exact same storyline (with nothing new). 10 years ago we made these types of drama (exact storyline and characters) and today we have the same drama. With this constantly happening, after 10 years, we will have the same type of dramas (with nothing new). And then producers and channels complain that why is Netflix not putting their content on their platforms. What new thing (extraordinary thing) is Pakistan making/offering (that India hasn’t already made)? Why should Netflix put your (Pakistani) content? is the question producers/channels need to ask themselves. The only recent project I can think of, which seems cool and different, is Zindagi Tamasha and that film was banned before it even came out. If this keeps on happening then Pakistani content will never get a significant amount of international viewership, and if it magically does, then people are going to make fun of it, because of dramas like Nand. I think the point is that influential people, like producers, should try to broaden the dramas outside of the saas-bahu type of setting. Nobody is saying that put gaalis or adult scenes in the drama (those are not necessary). If you take the adult scenes and profanity out of the film, Andudhun, it is still going to be a good film. So, the point isn’t to copy the west or India (or to put profanity), its just to make better content. Dramas like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Digest Writer, and Sabaat were made too. Why can’t we just go back to that content. Those dramas were both entertaining and good.
Yes I replied to my own comment, because it was too long. Honestly Pakistani dramas are at a point where, I don’t even watch them anymore because some of them are not available on TH-cam, or they are too long and stretched out, and some of them are just plain dumb. Cheekh was basically the drama that made me loose trust in Pakistani dramas because it started out interesting and became so stretched out and illogical and I wasted my time watching that show, hoping it would be better. And I am honestly not looking forward to Dunk, because I think it will be the same as Cheekh (it will start out interesting but then become illogical and stretched), but who knows. Even the seemingly good dramas are so stretched out (because of channels demands) that I would way rather watch a 10 episode show on Netflix, that keeps me hooked and entertained. And I think a good amount of the Pakistani youth agrees with me, and this is the problem with Pakistani dramas nowadays, even many Pakistanis (who have other resources, like Netflix) don’t want to watch the dramas being made. At the end of the day, it is Fahad Mustafa’s choice what he wants to produce or not produce. And I agree that he has also produced good dramas. At this point, I am confused why the audience is even watching these type of dramas (because this is the argument that every interviewee makes on this channel)? Btw I agree with what he said at 21:43.
Trust me I read your comment and your reply to your comment. I completely agree with what your saying. The whole argument always comes back to the TRP's and views these dramas receive. It is always said that the TRP's and views matter. And they definitely do. But that doesn't justify the fact that the same story is going to be show again and again in slightly different ways. Risks should be taken. They always say that people want to watch these type of things. The people that they talk about have no choice but to watch what is on their screen to pass time. All I want to say is that if they do take the risk of trying something new and it doesn't work, then they can complain that people don't want to watch that stuff. They can't just say that as a justification because the audience has not been given something different to make the choice of what they want to watch.
@Automix sure of course. But unfortunately this is all a business of entertainment. They need to sell what's in demand to run their house hold as well. It's just like you go in a store and buy some unhealthy products. They won't stop putting it on the shelf only bc you want to eat healthy. Or the restaurant food. Oily greasy samosas etc. Business business. 😔

I've never watched any of "superstar" Fahad Mustafa's work; this is the first time I've heard him speak but I've always loved watching the humble, international superstar, Fawad Khan's interviews, which have been a sheer delight! The good thing is that Fahad takes ownership of the dramas in question. The bad thing is that he feels there's nothing wrong with them. As a producer, he should have a say in what needs to be shown to the people and a producer's job is not limited to making money. There are a lot of ways in which money can be made but at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself if you are making "good content". Dhoop Kinare, Tanhaiyaan, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Dastaan, Humsafar and so many more have become cult classics because they were loved by the audience and made money as well. It is very convenient for a producer to say "change the channel if you don't like what you see" but it takes guts for a producer to be different from the rest. Come to think of it, it takes only one man to start a change and it could very well be him, if he is interested in doing so, which seems very unlikely.

He definitely has one more skill of turning down authentic question with useless logic and unrelated examples. The irony is he thinks he has proven wrong every controversy against his content. In reality, his ignorance clearly reflects the quality of his projects. Hats off to you Hasan for pulling off such a stunt and conveying our thoughts with utmost resposiblity.
If the word "Dheet" has a face! Someone ask him if he would ever work in such dramas as an actor?! He would always prefer something that has a nice image and QUALITY!
He was unapologetically correct, his words sounded as a bitter truth of our drama and film industry and honestly somehow he did grab the viewers attention which I believe is also the reason behind his success . The interview was overall fiery yet entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation!
Watching the interview and had to pause and comment. Just because Fahad is well spoken and articulate does NOT make him right. The rhetoric that a lesson can’t be given in an entertaining way, the only choice is Lesson or cheap and regressive entertainment, constantly comparing Dramas with Indian movie industry to justify his productions..sorry not buying it one bit! Hassan tried his best but what do you say to someone who says his target audience is Jalsa going ppl and this crap is the only thing they want and understand. Really a shame coming from one of the supposedly TOP stars!
I don't know why Fahad Mustafa has to compare everything(criticism he is getting these days) with Bollywood and Hollywood. Bollywood and Hollywood are way too much different from Lollywood. See, you guys have different content from Bollywood and Hollywood and people in Pakistan cannot at all digest that their Producers is showing some erotic or intimate scenes on Television. Being An Indian I know that we Indians even hate to see such 18+ content or abusive language on TV and FILMS that is why they show it on OTT platforms. I use to admire and had so much respect for Fahad Mustafa because he is a multi-tasker but after this interview i could see that how much arrogant he is. I don't think that because of INDIA Pakistani content cannot be released on Netflix Or any other OTT Platform. Dear Fahad Mustafa you cannot blame India just because you guys don't want to release your content on OTT platforms as India gave you an opportunity To release your content on ZEE5 but what you did you banned it. Indians love to watch Pakistani content and so do I but its unfair to blame India and Indian content every time. You watch Indian content and even you guys love it because India creates good content. In an interview with SIRAJ UL HAQUE he clearly mentioned that "THEIR WAS A TIME PAKISTANIS COPIED STAR PLUS BECAUSE OF LOW RATINGS". And yes hats of to Hassan For having so much patience while doing this interview. I would love Something Haute team to respond me after reading this comment of mine because i really want to know what is Hassan and Amna's(smart and mature people) thought on This. Immense love From INDIA Aarya.
Aarya Shah, precisely, my point 😊 They don't have anyone to compare so easy target is Indian movies !! Look at his audacity, he was giving Mr. Bachchan's example to prove his point !! Such an idiot, mushtafa is !!
@@poojasabharwal9084 I totally agree with you i think just to prove his points he targeted bollywood but ironically no one knows fahad mustafa in India expect few so i think "Bollywood aur India ko FARAK nahi padta". But we cannot forget that he has also produced some of the best dramas too. We will surely appreciate him for that too.
Hassan, you are enormously talented and professional. I am thoroughly impressed with your expertise in what you do! Beautiful! BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL!!! 🤪🤪🤪
I'm late yet I needed to put out my opinion. As I started this interview I simultaneously went through comments and it gave me controversial vibes already. Now that I'm done with that, Hassan, you really were a down to earth person in there. Loads to love to you and Amna. As for fahad, he might be overwhelming but I couldn't really disagree much to him. I think he's very right when when he said he's not interested in giving you messages. That's very right that tv is about the entertainment. People who support the idea that tv affects a lot are also right. But here's the thing; when i turn on tv, i don't do it to learn anything from saas bahu and rona dhona. However, if i learn something, i'm very much thankful. It's a thin line. If it's his responsibility by any means and he refuses to take it, idk where it stands
Hassan your channel is an inspiration. I never used to know about writers, directors or producers. I never knew who are these people working behind the screen. From all of these interviews and from all of your reviews I've started having a different perspective on dramas I've started thinking and maybe watching dramas differently I now know the people behind the screen very well and this interview OMG! From these interviees we know the thought process of these people who are actually behind the screen.
Going by the thumbnail I didn't think I was going to love Fahad Mustafa so much at the end if it lol! Was expecting quite the opposite actually and while I don't like shows like jalan and nand, he knows what he is doing and WHY he is doing that. Thank you Hassan for such an amazing interview. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Wow Hassan what an interview! I loveee how you always tied it back to your intro that he is an influencer. Its like reading a well written essay where you tie your points back to the intro or topic sentence. I am a fan of your interview skills. Fahad is a great business man! He knows what to sell and make money. Unfortunately he doesn't want to accept that with great power comes great responsibility!
Looking at the title .. every profession has a lesson.. a motive..even if its acting or production.. people Do what they SEE! not what they are told!! So if you are showing them outcomes like “suicide” and drama ke end main pagal karna villan ko instead of showing them to repent and seek forgiveness .. and not show them being confident.. showing people who doubt and slap and divorce their partners and expect the audience to get entertained? Sorry sir but we only get triggered...entertainment tou milti hi nahi hai.
Hats off Hassan even after Fahad was defending his point of view with such intensity he didn't looked intimidated a bit and stood on his ground.
Ehhhh
Makers don't realise but TV, films leave deep impact on the minds of audiences.

My respect for Hassan just doubled up. Immense patience he has!
I don't think Jalan was a bad drama. The drama shows the reality of life. As a parent it showed me that you should never be biased towards 1 child and make the other sacrifice. All in all, I think it's a good eye opener

Fahad Mustafa's answers are an excellent example of 'whataboutism': accusing others of offenses as a way of deflecting attention from one's own deeds.

We should make dua that hamare fahad bhai learns the meaning of humility and uses it . It will make him a better person. Lost respect for him
After this interview I just realized the importance of education and increase of literacy rate for future generations for through out the world.
Crux of the interview: Fahad Mustafa aggressively denies the universal truth that 'with great power comes great responsibility' for an hour straight.
Responsibility ...wt is that...just make money...moral of the story
Absolutely couldn't have put it better. The entertainment industry denies any responsibility
He problem is lack of enlightenment not lack of education
Main Points of Fahad Mustafa's Interview:

Even if this interview is in bad taste, he did highlight plenty of issues and how his creativity is trapped as a producer too. Entertainment does get influenced through our society and vice versa.

But majority viewers are 25 to 45
You people got no clue.
Aray I finally found a SENSIBLE comment.
Nhi why can't we make dramas like Ertugrul or other good dramas? Hmari industry mein foreign content se sarte hain artists aur apna content behter nhi krte.. Why do we have to show such evil and greedy women in our dramas to make money like there's no humanity left in this world?!

Hmmmm.bit disappointed with what he is saying.. .but can't really say he is entirely wrong. My take is , it is both entertainment and education. However, when a drama carries a message let it show the dark parts of our society, culture and psyche to educate the audience of the impact of darkness and lessons to be learnt.

haha well said!

So, for some information:
Akshay Kumar did Khatta Meetha, which was about corruption. He also did Pad Man.
Salman Khan did Bhajrangi Bhaijaan, which was about humanity. The message was to help people no matter their nationality or religion
Shahrukh Khan did Chak De India, Dear Zindagi, and Fan (which showed the problem with being obsessed with actors)
I cannot give a description for all these films, but they have a message.
Sahi to kehraha hai bichara. Jo hum online dekhte Hain wo Jalan se koi 100 haath agay hai.
He is just stating the facts.
@Automix they do have options. Also they are a very small number. So majority projects won't be for them. Naturally.
Wasted my one hour on pure arrogance! Kudos to Hassan who listened to his justifications so patiently. You could see the disagreement on his face yet he remained humble.
Well he told all FACTS.....a producer should own his drama and if it is giving a wrong msg then why it is having high TRPS.We have nothing but double standards
Right. If you don't like then why are you watching this?
@@thestellar5438 I don't watch Jalan and nand. Iam just talking about those TRPS they are getting yet everyone is talking about its immorality

This was the longest hour(fahad mustafa thoughts)😶 ever i spent on something haute channel. Your Reviews are so brilliant that i never want them to end. But this interview is just.... :(
O man did he just say the slapping etc is just baatein uff. You hit women in dramas....it makes the viewers even SUBCONSCIOUSLY be accepting of hitting...kher hai...its just a thapar etc...he is in a bubble. He hasn't had a loved one face domestic abuse. It starts with a slap bro. Haye if producers have this mentality then there isn't much hope.
The slaps in jalan are "justified" and its "fine" because of her actions...so viewers see and accept that look she is doing bad so it's "right" she gets slapped. So yes you are influencing people. So if a girl raises her voice in the home...slap her why not its fine. Dont even get me started on how Afsand doesn't get any abuse his way even once. Not even one slap. So a woman does bad slap her etc. Man does it...aww he will repent and move on. Wow the justice here. Bravo.
He aint getting the volume of responsibility on him. He says no its not fine slapping but you are showing it is. Man.
I totally agree with you.
On the other hand, Asfi is not getting enough slaps when he was as wrong as Nisha. Slaps are only for the woman!
No wonder why he chose Jalan's writer awful script and go with the narrative.
True.. he is talking about amitabh bachan and woman as object always.. he is still living in 80s . IDIOT
@@zaaimk funniest thing is he's reached to the right businessman in group, The Salman Iqbal. No wonder Fahad has proven himself to be a good businessman.
One more disturbing thing for me was him reference to Amitabh Bachchan and women objectification, he still believe that by showing miserable women, victimized women, abuse or regression, he is not objectifying a WOMEN. For him dancing on item songs and nudity in bollywood is the only CONOTATION of women objectivication
Slapping is fine. Even in our religion it says if it leads to an extreme level then slap.

There are just people who have a concern over glorifying characters with no spine or that are downright evil over and over again. Whoever says that dramas don't influence anyone needs to come out of his bubble. Half the problems of our youth being morally corrupt has come from Bollywood filth and now our dramas are no exception.
Because from that trash he is making money easily . Don't understand why our audience keep on watching this old "nand bahu sazish" stories and giving the drama highest Trps.

Hassan, I commend your patience and adab. I could not have hidden my emotions and bit my tongue as much as you did. I hope you do a video where you give your side of the argument and your thoughts on everything he said. FM can talk well that's for sure, almost convinced me too until I remembered responsibility and morals bhi kuch cheez hoti hain.
He was my very first favourite actor, him and his dramas back in the day were actually what got me into Pakistani shows. It's really sad to see my "hero" speak like this.
FM if you're reading, every industry of every society is responsible, to a large extent, for either the progression or the regression of their society. Choose which way you want your society to go, and work towards that. "Other countries do crap too" isn't an excuse. Like you said, we're Pakistani, we're not the rest.
I don't understand why you are so upset....its not that he has shown evil ,flourish and succeed in his drama ...both evil and good have been shown together and at the end good wins and bad looses ...be it jalan or ishqiya...in Jalan, people are focusing on nisha but ignoring ,characters of meenu...Ahmer 's wife ....ahmer 's sister , asfi sister role ...who are all women of high morals and value their relationships etc...and then not left alone and have each others support...nisha is the outlier...and that makes it a story to be told .....nisha will be left alone with nothing to cherish....what is the problem here ....what has been done irresponsibly ....as far as having an affair and then marrying behnoi is concerned...thats not out of this world....its a lesson on its own that Sali is na_mehram for behnoi and should not be allowed to mingle freely otherwise disaster like this can happen....That is a very responsible lesson conveyed through story telling ...for those who have eyes ....to take lesson from stories ....

Looks like he has watched too many Ekta Kapoor's interviews. His answers were similar to Ekta Kapoor's replies in her umpteen interviews. She gives the same reasons for throwing trash content on prime time. She also says her viewers are the masses not the classes and she will keep making soaps which the masses want/like. He also said his viewers are the people who go the jalsas.
This is the delimma of our industry, people who are behind these cameras don't understand the responsibility they bear on their shoulders!! He was justifying his unbearable content by giving examples of Indian content!! People like him will keep making low class shows and dramas/content rather than undertanding the right power of TV! Kudos to you Hassan for being calm and respectful in this interview even if the other person has immensly failed to be open minded in getting genuine feedback!!

Simply he is the reason for ruining our drama industry and he is unable to accept it! Thats it.

Now i can undersrand what kind of discussion goes on in production house offices.. No sane person can have an arguement with people like him..

He is so honest. That is the conclusion of this interview. And i m a big fan of him
Hassan your channel is an inspiration.

Loved the honesty and candidness of Fahad Mustafa even though I disagree a lot. Many things are right too. Thank you for this interview!!
