It's like You Yi is indirectly answering to what Yan Wei said to her. That for You Yi, she doesn't need to fall in love anymore with another random person, because she already have Yan Wei and that's enough for her.

Even though this is a censored gl but originally in the Manga ( i forgot what they called Manga in Chinese) they become a couple. So maybe the director wanted to show us that.( They creatively and beautifully shown that for the people to understand that they are meant to be together).

This show really is one of a kind! It has definitely turned into one of my favorites of this genre. Maybe Yan Wei and You Yi cannot be “explicit” about their relationship due to the censorship, but you can still see that they share a deep and beautiful bond. I mean, the way they look at one another says it all. It's all about the little details. We need more GL dramas (hopefully not just subtext) with such interesting, well-developed, outstanding plot and characters.

Honestly this drama is awesome. The storyline is actually good. With Nevertheless most of the times I just skipped to Soljiwan parts lol. The couple in this drama also seem to have a deeper connection…hard to explain but it’s a more matured love, making sacrifices for each other, protecting each other etc. Soljiwan was cute but Yiwei is on another level…

although the censorship thing is really annoying and unfortunate.. but I want to still appreciate the production team for keep go on to make this drama out to the world 👏 and thank you to Zhang Nan and Sun Yihan for giving life to the characters and enjoying acting as Xu You Yi and Yan Wei ♡ I really enjoyed this drama and I'll really look forward to next season! Who doesn’t know it’s a Chinese drama for Chinese people but Netflix can still buy it and show it on their platform like they do with lots of K dramas.

If you go watch ep.5 again, around 16:00 the fighting scene in Yan Wei's past. You could see the girl at the back of young Yan Wei at 44:27 among other children she was the only one who has a lot of close ups outside of the ring cheering for Yan Wei. There's also a close up of her when Yan Wei loses the fight. Hmmm, suspicious seems like she adored Yan Wei. In the Group picture of children she was the only one who was smiling, seems like she's kind and pure at heart. I suspect that the girl was the one who were sending the White Roses and killed Yi Fan. Something must have happened in their past that she got really hurt that she changed so much. Yan Wei knows her. She could've threatened her before that's why Yan Wei got panicky and led her to surrender herself as this girl is getting closer to hurt You Yi and possibly her child when she killed Yi Fan.

You know YiWei's acting are superb they really kill their own characters from the beginning up to this last episode. Kudos to both Annie Sun and Zhang Nan for giving us a great acting through out the entire 1st season. Hope they much grow and develop, looking forward for the 2nd season. And wish that we can have a lot of interaction for our YiWei, we may not have intimate skinships but we do hope that they would be the end game.
That ending tho... I cant imagine many sceneries where Wei Wei would give herself up to be locked for 15yrs and leave You Yi on her own. The blood in the photos... such ominous way to end such a great series. Either way loved it. Cant believe ive only found it now, need to get out from under my rock more often lol
I was very confused cause for a moment I thought the ending was really happening but now I understand that this was probably a sneak peak of the second season.
This drama was really good overall. I loved the plot and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. My favourite thing was probably the acting, especially during that argument between youyi and her ex in ep 10. The relationship between the main girls is very sweet and I can't wait to see how it develops. I really want them to have a happy ending in season 2.

in manhua they are a canon couple, but the producers created this show without making that fact explicit to pass china's censorship laws, so i think they will never be able to be official due to homophobia... idk if this is allowed there but they could create a lot of scenes of them making it clear that they are a couple and these parts could be only available online 😭 (maybe this doesnt make sense)

Can't believe it's already the end. It was a nice journey throughout. I will rewatch this again for sure. As for the second season, we need to support this one WAY WAY much and the rating of this drama in Bilibili app must be over 7 or the producer won't make the next season so pls try to rate it all of you. Before you can rate, you have to rate other dramas too so it will take some time but we can do this for the next season right? I really want a closure to this and the mysterious ending must be explained. An epilogue would be much appreciated if they do not make a next season.

So what I can figure out from this ending is this--->
Firstly, they have kept it an open ending for the audience to interpret the end according to what they feel like. It's on purpose to create the suspense so we look forward to the next season which is very well thought of.
Next is, it was needed for the characters to let go of their pasts in order to accept their future together. When You Qi forgot her husband, her lover and came to settle down with Yan Wei, with her son, she already moved on from her past. She embraced her future and let go of her past. On the other hand, Yan Wei still didn't overcome her past fully. No matter what, she was guilty for killing people. Those will keep haunting her and won't let her embrace her future with You Qi and her son.
So in order to overcome her past, and start a new life, Yan Wei purposely takes that weapon in the end and gets caught. She prob didn't kill anybody but wanted the police to catch her doing the act bcoz the detective will never get evidence against her if she wasn't willing to. So she indirectly surrendered, admitted her crime and went to prison for 15 yrs. So when she comes out, she will overcome her past fully.
Idk if my interpretation is even correct but that's what I can make out from this ending. Its an open ending so all of your posts are welcomed.
S2 is confirmed, we can have a happy ending.

Me enganchó desde el inicio y la verdad no pensé que me fuese a gustar tanto, pero absolutamente es una de mis series favoritas y se ha ganado un lugar dulce en mi corazón y en mi memoria. tbh I really came here for the gl and ep 1 I learned that it was censored but I still enjoyed the whole show! I never get boring and it just get intense and intense! even tho I wanted more wei wei and you yi scenes I still got hooked to the whole story. It's fun watching a story that doesn't only focuses on the 'love story' part but includes every problem in the series. And also for the flow of the story is ✨ chef's kiss ✨, it's not rushed and not slowed. It's pace is just perfect that can hook you up. Plus the characters in the show, I love you yi's character here and also the actors played it pretty well! I'll give this 10/10! This deserves a lot of audience! I can't wait for season 2! Let's hype this when season 2 arrives! 😭

This is what I'm thinking. Someone keeps sending flowers (roses) to Xouyi and stalking (when they buy a typewriter). there's a chance that's all done by her ex-boyfriend because, in the end, he died with the exact same rose next to him. and the person who killed him is probably Weiwei (I'm just guessing). So, she cleared everything up for her Youyi to live happily before she confesses her guilty to the court. That's just my thinking.

Yan wei and detective jiang have chemistry too. I'm really hooked with this drama since it's unpredictable and there are mysteries remain unsolved. I can't wait for the next season.

I love the comedy in this show, you'd think it won't translate well but it does even through subtitles. The show has been amazing, fun, lovely and the girls are so sweet i hope they get a second season soon.

Im surprised that they dont sentence murderers to death. Nevertheless, this drama is sooooo good. This is exactly the kind of drama setup i like after watching Arsenal Military Academy. I love everything, from the theme to the outfits, plot, dialogues, and the fact that it's a GL (kinda). This is definitely one of the bests for me. 💗

I have just randomly looking for GL series. And I have found this gem. I like everything about it. The genre , era, setting, characters , costumes and the language. The ending though is quite confusing. A lot of questions needs answers. Needed a season 2.

So Yifan was the one sending the white flower and Wei felt that it was somehow threatening that's why she killed him? I mean the bgm implies that those white flower are not meant to be romantic. Googled it and it says white roses means mourning or death coz if that's what the imply, then that explains why wei killed him and surrender afterwards. He was showing obsessive behavior considering how youyi already rejected him and he was showing up again with some creepy behavior.
For me, the ending makes sense. I think everything will be explained in season 2. I still can't believe the amount of scenes they censored considering how those happened in the manhua. But then again, I respect their views regarding the censorship. Plus yiwei showed great chemistry and depicted romance in ways more intimate than intimacy. But of course! I will not say no to some scenes you know? I hope it gets more romantic in the next season.
