Since no one in your Discord mentioned it, Deadsy was built around Elijah Blue Allman (band pseudonym P. Exeter Blue) - Cher and Greg's son. Definitely a sound of its era. "Key to Gramercy Park" was as close as they got to a commercial hit.
After what The Warning did with Sandman, for me, covers just got to be tastefully reimagined AND sound better than the original, or there's no point. Now, a band/individual should covering a song and do it any way they want for their own experimentation and edification. But to release a cover...? It better be banana's for me to tune it. The Warning and Band-Maid (Honey), to think of two, hold trophies. Thx, Ryan!
@@GaryHolloway-810 Then everything I said is still true. Everything you said should be erased. ✏😟Just kidding. 😉Or am I? 😯 Lets ask Tully. 👹 Or is he Marilyn 😟
@@TomClark-Futoura Well if yours is still true then mine should be erased regardless if Tully will try to stab you in the neck with a scalpel for doing it :)
I have no factual basis for this, but given who his parents are I believe deep in my balls that this was a "fuck you mom and dad, my band can play." Speaking of, the drummer (Alec Puro) is clearly not Neal Peart but he still fucking killed it. The fact that no one has said "ehhhh he's no Neal Peart" is proof enough, because you know if there was room to people would have.
as a huge RUSH fan since the early 80s, I have rarely heard any RUSH covers that I enjoy. So far the only band that covers them well (IMO) is YYNOT. sorry, cannot get into this version at all.
Deadsys singer P. Exeter Blue (Elijah Blue) is the son of Cher and Gregg Allman
That was pretty cool, Ryan. Marilyn Manson wishes this was his cover :)
The world has to be a bit worried what Marilyn Manson wishes for.🤘🤪
@@TomClark-Futoura The world need not worry, he's still doing time in prison....🤔 Or is that his character Ron Tully in Sons of Anarchy?😏
Good cover!
This is the 1st cover of Rush I have ever heard.
I always enjoy covers.. interesting to see how someone else interprets a song.. I enjoyed the guitar a lot in this
Still imo one of the greatest covers of that era.

What if the original song was sooo bad that any cover would sound better than it anyway?🤭

@@GaryHolloway-810 Maybe we should get rid of all erasers and scalpels, then. Usually getting rid of things is the best answer, right? 😶🌫
@@TomClark-Futoura Haha. No one's safe in the Cloud, Tom, you should know that.🤭
