In honor of the recent Black Temple Release for Burning Crusade Classic, we thought it'd be the best opportunity to showcase the story of TBC and Legion in a short episode segment, focusing primarily on the dynamic of Illidan and Kil'jaeden. This also covers Kael'thas' Fall & servitude to KJ, Black Temple Finale with the Demon Hunters, Sunwell Plateau Lore with Kalecgos, Anveena & KJ being sucked back in. Culminates with Illidan crushing Gul'dan & taking the final fight to KJ in the Twisting Nether. KJ still deserved more showtime in Legion aside. Also, TBC music still gives the shivers; so beautiful yet almost forgotten as years go by.
“Sometimes the Hand of Fate, must be forced”. Loved to see quotes from Warcraft 3 make it in to Legion. One of the best when Illidan raises the Naga from the sea and opens the scene for The Frozen Throne.
After the ending they have him in TBC, I believe Legion actually did him better justice. His antihero storyline in Warcraft 3 is still the best up there with Arthas.

It's very weird how illadin would be the first to go after kil' jeadan when he would just kneel in submission to this guy before crossing him. Makes me wish we could go back to the times where demons were just scary and as existential threats. But no I guess kil'jeadan just had to have feelings.
Illidan understands when he's outmatched and acts accordingly. If he didn't kneel for Kil'jaeden at the time he would have been smeared across the pavement back then. But that doesn't mean he can't get stronger over time. Kil'jaeden especially has always been the same race as Velen even back in burning crusade. He's not invincible. Sargeras however idk how Illidan is supposed to just keep him chained. Dudes planet sized. But he has help I guess.

On a serious note, your argument more applies to the Hyjal scene where Illidan obeys Kil'jaeden's command to destroy Ner'zhul, but then, isn't destroying Ner'zhul ultimately good? @@GamefreakRX When I first saw Illidan go towards Sargeras, I thought he was basically committing suicide via one last battle against demons, due to the Legion being pretty much disbanded - which makes the Betrayer's sole purpose in life go away. Then I learned he was appointed as Sargeras' jailer for all eternity... Which he doesn't seem to be powerful enough to do.
Refreshing to see someone not shilling for Tiny & soft. Although ngl, the chances of WC4 have increased barely. I'd love a separate Illidari faction and the retconning of all WoW lore. - Adûnâi

The name of this video is quite misleading This video doesn't show all cinematics of Burning Crusade, because there are Zul'Aman for example, but it doesnt fit main story, I understand, but it's BC cinematic This video doesn't show ONLY Burning Crusade cinematics, so SPOILER WARNING for anyone, who goes into WoW story expansion by expansion This video doesn't show cinematics in order. Story jumps from heroes attacking Black Temple to Akama remembering old times there, to Warcraft 3 story bits. Then it goes to show KaelThas whom we should already defeated in The Eye. It was quite misleading for my friend, whom I needed to explain why it was in different order and else.

I mean he had 2 other legendary characters backing him up, if he was as strong as Kiljaden then he would have destroyed him due to the numbers advantage. Illidan is definitely stronger than he was in past appearances but he’s still not at that level yet.
I played Warcraft 1-3 and played BC back when it first came out. while I still think it was the best xpac, I was confused as to why Illidan ended up being a raid boss. That goes for Vashj and Karl as well.
We're currently on Shadowlands now, but the Warcraft franchise has continued as an mmo, with many expansions such as TBC, Wrath, Cataclysm, MoP, WoD, Legion and BFA. Some better than others of course. Still would love a Warcraft 4 in the future.
in the early stages of WOW the scene between Kil'Jadan and Illidan...the voice of Illidan didn't suit him. I prefer the voice over for Illidan from when Kil'Jadan died.

I'll never get sick of seeing Illidan teleporting an entire planet, and the shock of Khadgar. It was priceless.

ngl all i play is all war3 and never wow cause i never afford it..but the lore itself after knowing what happend after war3 is such a satisfaction
Wrath, Cata, Legion and MoP were actually quite fantastic additions to warcraft lore. Still would have loved an actual Warcraft 4 though.
