    Lots of new work has been done on this route, some still to be completed (by Croke park) but nearly there. Worth a revisit. I made a video of it last week.

      Yes, on a town bike and all, though it is a bit rough in patches!

    The canals have the potential to be a junction-less ring road for cyclists. A commuter can cycle into the city by the most direct route and then divert via a canal across the city. Getting from the road to the canal path is currently dangerous at most places, if not obstructed by kissing gates. New tunnels need to be made under the bridges similar to the ones for trains. This could be funded by a congestion charge on those currently polluting the air, many of whom have free city centre parking in Government departments.
