And yes Police sirens can sound louder than ambulances or fire trucks because cop cars usually have their siren mounted low on the front bumper. Fire trucks also mount their sirens on the bumper, but the large size of the vehicle absorbs some of the sounds
Neil, you were drifting with BeamNG's drift assists. With them turned on it's way easier to send a car sideways. You may turn it off in settings and try drifting without them, you'll feel the difference for sure

He drove a yellow hot rod and was always looking for other drivers to race. He was regarded as the street race king of the valley, as in the Modesto area of California. Cool little easter egg from the Devs there... Noice!!
The button on the floor is probably for the brights. It was very common up until the 80's. My 1984 F-250 has a floor button, but on my 1986 Jeep XJ it's on the blinker wand like most vehicles are now.
As someone who owns an older car, I can tell you that the button at the bottom of the floor was a Dimmer switch. They turn the headlights on and off, or they can also turn the high beams on, like my Diplomat.
My great uncle had a good number of Model As, most needing a good amount of work. Sadly, after his passing his property was sold as is (Model As included) because no relatives lived in the same state. I was really hoping to be able to get one.

fun fact: the pedal for the lights is actually to turn the high beams on! You use the dash switch for the low beams, and the floor switch for high beams!
I am so glad that they made the car have a manual choke and having the dimmer switch on the floor. Why did manufacturers put the dimmer on the steering column when on the floor was just fine. your left foot isn't doing anything and flipping the dimmer while in mid turn is such a hassle. I wonder if the lights dim and brighten as the rpms fluctuate. That would be cool the old car having a poor quality voltage regulator.
In my personal opinion, this should've been a Burnside branded car. I like to think that Burnside was a car company that didnt make it through the fifties and was killed off early by financial troubles. idk missed opportunity for some car brand lore.

the backwards rear door were called "suicide doors", because they were not very friendly if bypassing traffic doored you as you were getting out of the car
Before my grandpa was diagnosed with dementia and we had to sell it for bills I had a 1937 Chevy master deluxe that had the suicide doors and trunk seat that looked similar to this
They should make an option for the ai traffic where you select what vehicles / configs you want to spawn so we could do like all ai traffic is from the 1930s era!!!!
That's what I like about old cars there were made from steel and not aluminum and plastic so you could crash and wasn't too much to fix and you didn't need to buy a new car after rear ending some at 15 mph
I want to see this thing with the skyrider mod, if for no other reason than the juxtaposition of the futuristic concept of the skyrider with the vintage car.

Imo having the oversteer assist on is the most realistic way to drift with controller, allows the car to properly counter steer.

Floor pedal is likely High beams , before they put them in the arm they were on the floor , in most ford's anyway.
A 1930s car in BeamNG is absolutely AWESOME. One of the best updates in ages.
The foot pedal switches between high and low beams. Cars worked that way for decades.

Old cars ( maybe like the bruckell nine ) had its crank popping out the front. You needed to turn it to get the engine started.

How do you get the reflective usable mirrors in Beam NG? I only get the useless picture ones and 15-22 FPS.
It's a graphics setting. If you're getting bad FPS on low settings I don't think high settings would help...
