FSR is, at least for my money, one of the best action games from KT in a long time with a well done narrative that rewards players for sticking with the story to the end. For those who finished the game in full, I'm sure it feels rewarding to see Takeru in this form after going through the story, to the point that his moves were faithfully recreated. Definitely, fans should give FSR a try when they can
Preach, honestly it is refreshing to see that KT can actually make a fairly challenging musou combat game after how they fumbled Dynasty and Samurai Warrior so badly (they seriously turn SW5 into a clonefest for a series that never had any clones). And there is quite a bit of optional fights to do too which is great. Easily the one of the top musou games for me next to Basara Sumeragi.
Id like to see them expand upon this formula. Imagine playing as a magis killer with guns or traditional mage. I hope to see more fate games like this.
It was the only good Gauge Breaker in the game that did any damage or a lot of damage for only 2 Fire Costs. Which led into it being the most Spammable and Useful attack of Takeru

When I look at how the attack animation fit so well with FGO, my mind instantly click that they may actually decided to add him to FGO first but FSR project come and they think that Yamato Takeru will fit very well in the story
The FGO one actually looks more impressive with the extra a oomph given for the moves. Haven't played around with Takeru's other ascension much, since I'm enjoying using this animation set and the NP cut in may be one of the cleanest in FGO in terms of image quality
The sword swing/back to the enemy was my favorite part of their NP in FSR. Sad it got cut from FGO :( Otherwise, yeah these are nice. They did a good job with the animations!
Personally don't really care about the character (still didn't play SR) But the references are nice And the impact frames on the NP are really cool Hope the collab servants will also have some
Man, two years cannot go by soon enough. Really looking forward to having our first non-binary Saberface in Chaldea. Also, I hope that the other upcoming Samurai Remnant Servants also have their own animations synonymous to the ones from the video game.
FSR is easily one of the most disappointing games of 2023. The game should have been physics based both in determining terrain destruction and in determining how much the enemy is pushed back by the force of the player's attacks. Seeing that mob just standing there holding up its sword instead of being blown away by the force of the attack just shows how little care was put into the game mechanics. FSR COULD have easily made battles work and look like the fight between Saber Alter and Heracles in Heavens Feel III. Instead they went with the most lame ass easy to implement gameplay they could get away with. This isn't the PS2 era anymore, we should expect better.
