She captured the ESSENCE of the song perfectly!! Sometimes people tend to forget and think it's all about the vocal gymnastics and belting the high notes, when sometimes the subtle heartfelt approach is more powerful...but that's just my opinion hehe

I searched for her to see what she's doing now at Korean website equivalent to Google. She seems to have worked as a vocal trainer for a while after this competition and sort of disappeared, probably leading an ordinary life somewhere. This must be the singing of her lifetime and it's just great that her true talents were exposed for a few minutes to the whole world

the good thing about her cover is she never over sang this unlike the rest who cover this song. she made it simple and sentimental like the way the lyrics meant to be.

This is one of my favorite songs by Brian Mcknight and she did a phenomenal job. There was so much emotion in her voice. I could feel every word she was singing. I actually teared up a bit.

10 years later and here I am still in awe. What a performance!
My wife led me here and I've watched this video 5 times now with my 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl. They love it and are singing the song all over the house. Her voice is so sweet and clean... and full of soul and pain. This is the best rendition of One Last Cry I've ever heard and I've had many drunk nights at NRB where people have sung it many times. The way she sings it takes you back to the first time someone broke your heart and how INSANE you felt inside and just needed to move on. Great job. Kim Dong Ok, I'm a fan. Keep singing and pouring your heart out.

One i love of korean singers are their heavenly voice... They don't add any adlibs to overpower the song or to change its melody.. they just sang it with a heart and emotion .. superb ..... I am Filipino but i admire korean singers as well
