Disclaimer: The double barrel shotgun is good by its own when paired with other rounds, and the ap rounds are good when used on other shotguns. These two do not depend on eachother, but when you pair them together you get a real kicker.
If you don't wanna aim for legs there is a better bullet than the one's your using name flachatte it shoots 8 shells which is better than a single slug..
When using slugs, make sure your shotgun is modified to have as high accuracy as possible, this will make hitting enemies easier or rather give you a higher chance to hit any enemy at a longer distance. Also, DONT hipfire with slugs, even if you have lasers on your shotty, you're better off just ADS'ing on your target and hope they dont have high tier armor.... or teammates.
You aint lying, i died many times against dudes with these, i use s12, i slammed 7 shots of type 8 in a dudes chest and he lives, i get hit 2 times in the chest with type 8 and double barrel i instantly die
and then when you watch the end of the kill cam you see the dude give a thumbs up for the good gear... it happened to me 2 times already!.... 2 times too many!!!!

I dont mean to hate, but the initial squad you fought were bot players. They're fairly common in normal maps unless you play lockdown but GL on using spr in lockdown cause it is not easy.

I use that shotgun with Type 5 Cartridges, although sometimes I change it for an MP133 or an M870 that the Bots have for greater capacity

Flechette rounds and GT slugs are my personal top favourites , they hit hard and are cheap
