Installing a HydroCord® Handle on Hydro Flask Water Bottle

Watch this to see how to install a HydroCord handle on a 40 oz Hydro Flask. If you follow this method, you will never worry about the handle falling off your bottle! It works with all WIDE MOUTH Hydro Flask, Takeya, Simple Modern and Mira bottles: 12 oz, 16 oz, 18 oz, 20 oz, 32 oz, 40 oz and 64 oz growlers.
TIP: If you have trouble installing, HEAT THE PLASTIC RING FIRST by running it under hot water OR by running a hot blow dryer on it, until the ring is softer and more pliable.
IMPORTANT: Look closely at the bottle in this video. This handle is compatible with Hydro Flask 1.0 (which has a metal lip around the mouth of the bottle). It does not work on the Hydro Flask 2.0 which is a newer design, released after 2020.

Ah ok, I got the cord under de lid , bottom treading. Cos when bottle is full, the weight might pull the ring of, and the cord will still hold the flask stuck under the lid

You can wash the handle, too. It is made of paracord and it can get wet.

OK what a ridiculous design. I’ve been working on it for 15 minutes and it just will not go on for me. I feel super weak even though I don’t usually have trouble with this. Let's make sure you have a bottle that is compatible... which HydroCord version are you installing and what bottle are you trying to install it on: Hydro Flask 1.0 or 2.0?
