I lived in one of those flats in the 1990s. You could hear everything! Floors in flats should be made of concrete for sound and fire purposes. So perhaps that’s why?
My Nan had one of these flats in the 1970s. I can remember the coal fire and no central heating .A woman and her 2 children were staying upstairs with their Nan ( yes, 4 people squashed into a one bedroomed flat). The guttering was always broken and poured water over us as we walked past. nothing worked! They improved during the 80s and 90s. But the floors were not concrete so you could hear everything!
Looks like they still there to me.gardens a mess.
Why were these homes destroyed?
They are modernising the appearance and layout I think
