well i wouldn't consider yourself an abroist if you think the things this guy is doing is safe or practical, there is too many errors in this video too count on both hands, this guy is doing things you learn on day 1 wrong, putting your chainbreak on ring a bell? looking at what your cutting ring a bell? not turning your back too a tree once youve just fell it? makes me laugh haha

Damn, glad I got to watch this video. I learnt something here. Something I cain't figure out though, is the measure tape a "feller's" tape? I've never seen such a practice and I cannot understand how the tape stays put, until released? Nonetheless, thanks for the lesson!
Yes, and instrument choice is wrong, it's dangerous! Some trees could be better done with high stumps. And cutting half fallen tree off a stump is a very big mistake.
Incredibly fast , so smooth and he makes it look effortless! What he does in the 11 min of this video would take me an hour. His ability to fell in the correct skidding direction, despite tight felling space, and confidently handling hang ups is amazing. He handles that saw like a surgeon with a scalpel. As a reminder to some you are paid by the board foot. What makes you a superior feller is how much they hall out of the woods each day not how big the trees are. And I like his horse, no I mean saw too.

Funny how husqvarna had to bring out mk11 versions of the previous 5series gen saws. Because the original 5 series saws were shit had a 562 blew up had a 550 unreliable would not start when hot have always been huskie user but the 5 series saws were a disaster switched over to stihl never looked back lighter more powerful more reliable

Those were all 12’s you add and extra 6inchs if anything happens with the cut like if there’s a split in the bark witch inturn makes that log lose value
Small trees softwood watch how you notch your trees and you won't have any hangers another thing will help is learning how to put a roll on a tree if you know what I mean
In the U.S. all logs require 6” of trim or it gets deducted to the next shortest log. As in if you cut a 12’ 4 “ log it’s scaled back to a 10’6” hope that helps.
When cutting logs in the US cut all your logs with 8" trim veneer logs require 8" trim most veneer I have cut hard maple, soft, yellow birch oak cherry and a few others 9'8" and 10'8" Ash and basswood 8'8" up to 16'8" if your not sure everything 8" trim most older slashers were set up with 8" trim
Mozem otazku. pri prvom strome bol vypileny klin cca pod uhlom 45° a vo vacsine priruciek co som videl bolo spominane aspon 70° aky je medzi tym rozdiel pretoze mam pocit ze to pada tak ci tak.
