I like that the lighting in the bushes is actually animated (as seen in lilsimsie's video) 💖 but apparently, sims can't walk through the new wreath if you place it on a door 🥲
I was thinking just last week that I wanted decorated lightup bush or hedge would have been even more better if they gave us the big round basegame one though as I use that one so much more than the perfect square one.. but it is what it is I guess.
I don't know much about Romanian clothing, but I do know my fabrics! Batiks are made by layering dye to create an almost water color effect, and none of those look like a batik pattern to me-- they're too crisp. If the edges were more diffuse or if there was a tie dye element, then it would definitely look like a batik to me. But again, I only know fabric not traditional Romanian clothing.
The scarf fabric is a traditional print to Eastern Europe and you see them worn everywhere as headscarves, shawls, scarves or bandanas. They can get quite large like 60 inch squares or quite small like 18-24 inches, and are always used folded diagonally at the corners. I'm sure there's nuance to the designs with certain ones being endemic to certain regions, but those kind of bright floral scarves are worn from Russia all the way down to Croatia. I think historically they would've been done as block prints with wax resists on wool or linen, but I'm not sure how they are done now. Did you see the needle lace on the skirts?
@@saraa3418 I don't know how I missed that the first time around, that's so cute!!!! I have some curtains with almost identical lace haha. Reading more about batiks/maramas is really interesting, I didn't realize they were called so many different things! It definitely seems like there's a lot of regional variation-- some patterns date back to the neolithic era which is super cool! It looks like the name does come from the Javanese style of wax and dye layers (which makes sense for something you would wear on your head), but the style is very different. Though it looks like some styles have a more heavy Asian/austronesian influence! v cool.
I used the hot cocoa tray in a new save yesterday thinking it was a mod cause i have so many food mods and was like "oh cute, look at the detail with the marshmallows!" 😆 I am glad they fixed the mesh for the hot chocolates. If you made cocoa w/ marshmallows from For Rent, you literally had to imagine the marshmallows lmao
I mean even the Grim Reaper event was locked but it was locked for a week at a time... you could only do more than 1 if you missed a week in order to "catch up"
I really want the frame TV, so I guess I'll have to update my game. I've been avoiding it because I don't want the duplication bug that's going on in people's games. I haven't updated since before L & D. My game is running pretty well at the moment. I missed out on the end of the Reaper Rewards Event, which was a bummer, but I'll live. The TV looks good, as it has less "girlie" swatches. I really struggle to place that one in hetero male Sims' homes. I feel like this one will fit in much better. I so often feel like the design team often forgets about half of the population. Heavy sigh... Thanks for your coverage of this event, as well as the SDX drop!
7:03 yeah but I haven't had base game in years but I was under the impression that they added the calendar into the base game right? So even if holidays came with seasons, is to calendar system in base game now? Maybe I totally made that up in my head.
I think you can cheat time in pc... so u can do all in one go like i done with reaper rewards😂 i love this challenges but time locked is a drag... so definitely making my pc forward in time!😊Jolly Xmas Mollie❤
Unfortunately coke a colas full on AI trashed their og ad with animals that don’t even live in the snow. There’s also the ‘anyone can be Santa’ cola ad running (uk) 😂. Colas flop era
The CocaCola AI ad is awful and lazy-looking. There’s one moment that creeps me out where a dog is shown wagging its tail and the eyes are dead in an animatronic way.
Romania is NOT Eastern Europe. It's bordering on it, but it's SE of Central Europe. Also, Mucenici is a dish that is only eaten once a year, on the 9th of March and it has religious significance. It's not a spring welcoming dish or whatever they call it. The word mucenici means martyrs and it's in memory of the 40 Roman holy martyrs that were killed around the year 320 for being Christian.

I'm so thrilled about the frame TV and the scarf! I really love the slippers and wreaths too.
The tray is GREAT, the clothes are cute, they can keep the new UI Invasion they are calling the new "Event".

How do you start the event? I’m confused.
Same, it's supposed to trigger when you load into a save, and mine isn't happening
