    The correct distance is 0.7mm, which is also the thickness of a credit card. You can take an old card and cut a thin strip from it to create a gauge. Put the gauge between the position finger spring and basket, and you will have a perfectly placed position finger every time.

    FYI, the distance between the basket and the position bar spring should be 0.7mm.

    My needle is now hitting the bottom, and stops. Does this mean the hook/needle timing is off? If so, how can I fix this. Thanks
