Wallace is an actor who born in the 70's while the other guys were born in the 90's. He loves dancing very much. He was a Latin dancer before he became an actor. Though he didn't have much street dance experiences, he learned fast after he joined the show. He had only half month to learn to be a street dancer. He is doing great. We all respect him. You are right he looks like lack of foundation, that it is because he only learn locking for 14 days. He was enjoying the game when battled with the boys 20 years younger than him, and I really respect that. LET'S PARTY!
After the dance battle the chosen winner overall was LAY!! He really amazed everyone and the dancers there!! Many professional dancers praised him and actually acknowledge him as the best krump dancer in China!!! Lay said that he wants to see more people krump as there weren’t many there!! He’s insane, he learned krump within only 6 months!!!

Lay had won the respect from the entire street dance community in China coz he literally blew away everyone with his freestyle krumping. According to dancers who were there on set, compared to watching the show from TV, you feel 10 times attack watching Lay Krumping in person
They got to choose the type of music they wanted for a round each. And personally I’d really only consider Yibo as a street dancer. He’s the only one who adapted his dancing style to each round of music change which shows his versatility. Everyone else just stuck with their own strengths/styles.

My knee hurts just watching YiBo doing that! He gone savage! He has the street dance spirit in him. Obviously, these guys are damn talented, i don't know about Wallace, the other guy, cause he is the oldest, but Yibo, Lay and Jackson passed trough a savage training for years, like 14 to 16 hours a day for 4 years only to have a chance to be on stage. Lay and Jackson are friends, Yibo and Lay did a movie together and are close too, but it's a culture thing, they are very respectfull and friendly with each other. They respect the elders and protect the youngest. So, to be in the same place and do what they love is a joy and not an ego's war. Wallace has all my respect! I know him as an actor, slowly i found out that he sings...and then dances. He might not has the most solid foundation for street dance but his passion for dancing and fearless spirit is definitely amazing! Like some of the comments below, yes he only self-learnt street dancing for 14 days in the small quarantined hotel (due to covid-19 situation) and his only resource was a laptop before this immediate filming. He was noticed at the last min to replace someone's vacancy and he was not told that this season required so much Captains' involvement including this sudden freestyle solo battle.(you will know what im saying if you watched the previous seasons of SDC, they are a bit different) With such a short time for preparation and despite all those difficulties, he still gave his fullest to complete every tasks given to him. Even when the director told him that he could opt out of the Cypher battle. What touched me most is he mentioned to the director during their interview with him, he said: "I am defintely the weakest among them, I will lose but I'm not afriad." Wallace really has an amazing character, for that I respect him so much!

@maro_M1636 lol~ Your fandom is always so confused for some reason. My comment was from 4 years ago. At that time, Wang Yibo was the ambassador of none of these things. He was only recently appointed for the Olympic qualifiers. Lay was the nationally appointed Ambassador of Street Dance from the China Dance Sport Federation (which is part of the WDSF) in 2020 and was part of the team selection committee and national breaking team.
Thanks for the reaction! Just interesting facts about Lay's interaction with world champion street dance crowd: Lay learned krumping from Trix (aka Eyex X). His locking teacher was Locking Khan. His popping teachers were Popping DS and AKA Kin (boogalooKIN). And for choreography and swag hiphop: Shaun Evaristo, NappyTabs, Ian Eastwood There are not a lot of chancea for him to show off his dancing in China (there are more clips of him freestyling on the piano & guitar lol~), so I'm really looking forward to his appearance on this show. @@9akashi I think Lay won because of consistency with every round. If I had to base it off of every round Lay 3-1. The only round he lost was the last one to Yibo because of the shock that Yibo started to Krump in the last round. Jackson did great but nothing that stood out that was super great. He did great though. Wallace was just having fun with every round.

事实上lay跳hip、popping、locking，都很厉害。LAY不同的是对自己的要求比较极致，坚持努力并希望自己做的是100分。一搏也很厉害，年轻、框架很好、四肢修长、基础与天分都很好，但他对自己的舞蹈只是要求到70-80分。这是他的问题，都不错但都不够极致。职业舞者看到后，会认为自己能做的比一搏更好，但他们不敢这么看艺兴（LAY）。如果一搏开始要求自己要做到，并且努力，他应该也是一位能做到极致的ldol。
