  • Life made me do many things that I did not want to do , but those were the things that got me close to what I wanted . My aim in life is exploring all that excites me and I'm doing exactly that . I'm going to speak about my journey from an introvert engineer to an extrovert psychologist. I would also like to share a few funny memories on my educational path . The inference of my talk will be celebrating life and making life beautiful the way it shapes up . Dr.Swapna Patker, an alumnus of Harvard Business School, is an author, a film producer, and an entrepreneur. Dr. Patker is also the Chief Managing Director of The Rotal Maratha Entertainment, a motion picture production company. Dr. Patker also produced a Marathi language film Balkadu, which is a biopic of Late. Balasaheb Thackrey This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

      I have seen a video on the title ; A hungry cat looking for food had seen a Snake ; It tried to kill and eat it but at the end , It was bitten by the snake and got killed ; This video has dampened my spirit of creativity for two months ; But she says , it educated the cat tribe that do not play with snakes ;

    Was expecting TedX presenters are extraordinarily gifted and special. After watching Swapna, I thought every mother who works so hard; sacrificing or compromising her own personal priorities for her children’s happiness deserves to go and talk on TED-X stage and I am sure they will do way better than any one with just a dozen school degrees.

    What I learnt from this talk is "Curiosity never killed the cat. Curiosity only educated the cat" With curiosity only we can learn the things very fast. For doing anything we all need curiosity. Another point I learnt is "Exploration is the only thing that can help a person grow, and if you stop people from exploring they will never grow"

      No really correct, many rich ppl keep thinking what to do in their life and in the end they just rotate their parents money and live.. education would not come if u just have money..but at same time ur true , we can choose certain education only if we have money. There r few ppl, who achived things without money also...we no need to lower ourself bcz of no money or no higher education..we r also life and doing our best..so no need blame them and no need to pity on ourself. If all these ppl can do well with their education, then country and ppl get benifit..

    Every day, two bulls fight
    in every person’s mind;
    Positivity and Negativity
    Do you know which one wins?
    The one which you feed the most!• Anything that annoys you is for teaching you patience.
    • Anything that angers you is for teaching you forgiveness and compassion.
    • Anything that has power over you is for teaching you to take your power back.
    • Anything you hate is for teaching you unconditional love
    • Anything you fear is for teaching you courage to overcome your fear.
    • Anything you can't control is for teaching you how to let go.

    Very well said Mam 🙂 I'm not so much educated like u , but I've given my full time to my children n my home ! Ya it's been 28 yrs , I got married ! My daughter wanted to go to US n do her Master's n work for one year there , I completely supported her , later she said she wanted to marry a Punjabi guy , there also I supported her n v r South Indian brahmin ppl ! But when she said , she want settle there only .... I felt really very bad 😞 I felt like cheated 😔 but now some how accepted that she is happy being there only ...! But now my children , I've two children ( my younger son is a Doctor n studying further ) Both of them don't allow me to do anything which gives me happiness 😒 e.g. I wanted to buy one good camera , both said just use ur cell to click the pics , anyways where will u go out ?
    Then I said now u both r grown up I'll go to native n like to stay with the nature ( like u felt that day , I knew my children don't need me for their every day life ) plz do reply if u feel I'm wrong ...🙂🙏

    I almost felt alone to date after doing a diploma in electronic engineering+ Bachelors of Arts+ bachelors of education+ diploma of horticulture + bachelors of nursing.
    Making it 27 years of education in 35 years.
    Surprisingly, I have utilised all of those. I have been a horticulture trainer, a registered teacher and a registered nurse in Australia.
    Only thing was diploma of electronic engineering that I could not use; so I’m using it as a hobby 😃

    Really ... there are some speeches on tedx which are quite unconvincing but her mood or way to discireb is so calm and clean up to the clearest idea of her mind which made me to imagine as she speaks. .. Too people too could make a worth out of every vedio just have to stop reading comments as u watch
