Ep 1 of 2 Robin Hoods Bay camping trip on motorcycle inc Whitby Fat Lad on a Bike

- Just a little mini tour on this one as we head off up to a Robin Hoods Bay campsite both Wayne (Waf) and myself have used before called Hooks House Farm.
This first episode shows us travelling up there crossing the Humber Bridge and calling in for a breakfast at a Cafe we know.
We then continue on and set up home (tents) ready for the next days adventure which will come in Episode 2, consisting of a ride and look around Whitby and some nice drone footage of Robin Hoods Bay.

Great video again Steve. It's made me want to do more motorcycle camping trips this year, regardless of how far or for how long. Let's just just get the tent strapped to the back of the bike and go somewhere. Looking forward to the next 👍

Noted! Allan my audio is normally spot on even with chin guard up but think crossing the Humber bridge was very windy my friend.

steve just watched the expensive hotel with no tv love the ride ,plz dont let the idiots on the road noise u upi stay here we c it all the time i chased after 1 pulled right out in front of me on A82, boy they wont do it again.
Was most expensive Paul and worst in respect of facilities, no on suite and no telly, wont bother with that one again. thanks for watching mate.

@@markjones336 when we get a bit older we do need more comfort ha ha. As for Wales we should have been there last week was all booked near Aberystwyth so we could travel north , east and south and had all routes on Sat nav but that damn virus put paid to that, so next year now.

That's a shame, I was hoping this series would get me through till March at least! I think all that weight set so far back on WAF's bike would worry me a bit, how did he find it? You sold your old bike..?
That tent looks like a Vango Omega 350? I take mine on my motorcycle too, good size/weight and space for two in the vestibule to sit/cook if the weather turns bad.

Cheers Rick the editing software I use is Sony Vegas Pro 14 fella I think its easier than Adobe Premiere myself but check it out on TH-cam hope this helps

Hope all is good at your end; Need your help with the Sat. Nav kit, I just bought the Gar. Zumo 346LMT it's a fantastic piece and it came with the original Motorcycle mount, power cable,
& hardware etc..., but I would like to know what it is needed i.e. do I need to buy the Power Cable & the mount bracket holder separately in order to have it fitted just like the one you have?

Hi fella Sat Nav is a great bit of kit and you'll be pleased you got it. In answer to your question I bought my mount from Wunderlich who specialise in BMW stuff and the power cable that came with it I fitted a plug on the end that fitted to a power socket that BMW fit as standard under the front fairing so if by your name you own a Honda this is of no use to you. But I did have a pan European which I just connected straight to the battery and mounted Sat nav on a ball mount PHEW hope that helps a little

Hi there I find my Garmin Zumo 345lm a fantastic bit of kit and have used it loads home and abroad. Tried Tom Tom but did not get on with it, had a Zumo 500 for years and could not fault that either so in answer it's Garmin all day long for me my friend. Also you can download Garmin base Camp for free which is a great bit of software to plan trips on computer and upload to your sat nav hope this helps 👍

Hi Steve, just watched your trip to Robin Hoods bay again for some biker camping tips as I’m hoping to take part in some this year. What tent is it you have?
Hi Shane its the Vango Omega 350 supposedly a 3 man but I call it my luxury one man tent. Main reason I bought it was the fact the poles fold down to 550mm long and fit in my pannier nicely, most others are 600mm which wouldn't fit, hope that helps mate.

It's the shark evoline 3 Austin and its a really great helmet. Old now with a few better versions arrived since I bought mine my friend.
@@Steve-Clark i did much research aa my old helmet was agv compact st system helmet and i found on most nice days i rose with the chin bar up and as i couldnt lower the visor i needed to use the sunvisor i have a agv k5 rossi design helmet but out of the 2 the go to helmet was the system helmet after seeing your sharl i thought thats the type for me but aparently the earlier ones have had problems with the pinlock catching so they brought out the evo es which has an anti fog coating so no snagging the pinlock i got mive and i can say in two words BEST HELMET
