    Just fascinated by Love Note and the thought of using soft more lace weight yarns for the first time!

    I love the Love Note. I've done several. I've done them without the lace and also done one with a different lace pattern. This summer, I've been seeing a lot of sweaters with flowers on them so that may be a good one to do.

    Thanks for another great episode! I always learn something new while watching. My suggestion for the Summer class is the Tolsta Tee. The pattern includes instructions for fingering & DK weights and there are so many variations…eyelets, stripes, lace patterns. It seems to be a blank canvas. The designer is also adding instructions for adding long sleeves soon. So this could work no matter what season you may be going into.

    I've made 2 Anker Tee's and I love the sleeve length... I also have tossed them in the washer, which is nice when it is hot out and they get a tad funky. I have made several summer tops out of wool and I think I do prefer my cotton/linen/mixes

    For summer sweater class I’d love to discuss yarns for summer sweaters, benefits and downsides of certain fibers, weights, etc.

    Really adorable Love note, Jen. I'm weak for bright oranges colours. Well, I want it all and I want it now 🎶🎙🎶 Airhugs from Northern Sweden 🎀

    Hi Kathleen, Jen & Amanda! Mazel tov on a successful Wool Walk! Kori & I both just bought yarn for LoveNote during Wool Walk, so we definitely suggest a LoveNote class! If not a LoveNote, Hilpu by Meiju Kallio was a lovely knit for me last summer.

    I would think a circular yoke tee that can be a Love Note or Ranunculus or other lace tee and might give people the choice of lace pattern. I have never been drawn to the Love Note as the lace is too open and I don't want to layer my tees and sweaters. As you both noted about hats and cowls the trick is fit and wearability. Learning to make a garment that fits then makes it easier to make modifications. My Ranunculuus only has about 4 inches of positive ease, because of the yarn and needle size I chose to use.
    I think that is the beauty of knitting.

    Hello, I think a summer class, I love the idea of something with texture, I'm not a big lace person. One top I've been meaning to knit for a while is the SandFurer

    Hi Kathleen,Jen and Amanda, Thanks for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! I am new to knitting sweaters and learned a lot today from you both on choosing a correct size to fit/knit. It was so nice seeing you (Wednesday) during Wool Walk! I am truly happy with my purchases and your help! For a summer knit, I would like the "Love Note "sweater. Happy Knitting!

    Thanks for the podcast. For a summer sweater class, how about a cropped cardigan, like the LYS, or the Tolsta tee in a cotton + wool blend or other plant fiber blend?

    Hello there team Yarnia! I love the opinion section so much - but also love the whole podcast. For the spring/summer sweater class, I think the Ranunculus is a great idea - it is a much made sweater in many different weights, but Jen’s expertise would make this lovely sweater even better. I also love the Kuutar tee 😀

    All my knitting friends would say the Love Note sweater. I don't know how to knit (yet) so for crochet I always look for something that is lacy that could be worn over a tank top. I have been thinking about the Limonata by Ana D.

    Personally loving a simple tee sweater for the summer months, but with some details... KALA by Pip n Pin has an interesting yoke knit flat on front and back and joined after armholes. It can have a cap sleeve or a drop shoulder sleeve too. Although it's cropped it is easy to adjust.

  • @crochetknittingaddictionws2580

    I like my sweater to be airy in the summer. It doesn't have to fit tight, a little boxy, and just a bit little below the hip. The sleeve can be a little over the shoulder or sleeveless.

    For summer...all I want is tops I can throw over a summer dress. Nothing fancy. I want to make cozy shrug too. The air is on in the office and it's justtoo chilly but then I go out onto the dock and am roasting!

    I recommend the Salty Air tee by Samantha Guerin for Jen's Spring knitting class. I personally haven't made it yet even though I already own the pattern. But I think it's a great option because it offers a little interest with the lace section similar to the Love Note.

    I’d love to see the Confetti Crop as a summer knit class item. It’s adorable over dresses and works well for mods - add an additional lace repeat to the bottom, switch up the neckline, etc. Thanks as always for the knitting company!

    Jen just described too many of my sweaters🙈. Guilty of picking too large of a size. Perhaps a class for a sweater that fits the shoulder and short rows for sleeve cap? I do have sweaters we could all wear (simultaneously!)

    Hi girls, well here in NZ it is mid Autumn, and I'm preparing my winter wear! Knitting up some thick homespun alpaca, wool and sparkle art yarn into an oversized vest, designing as I go - the only way to knit homespun! Holidaying in US and Canada mid July so expecting some much needed heat and sunshine. Always love watching your podcast. Stay well.

    Would love to see the ranunculus as a summer sweater class . I have yet to knit one because I can’t decide on the size . I have the new pattern but wish I had the original pattern with only one size. Question do you know what size the original pattern corresponds to in the new pattern ??? Thanks for another great episode .

    • @ChroniclesofYarnia
      @ChroniclesofYarnia  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe the 5th size in the pattern corresponds to the only size in the original pattern. ~K🧶

    It would be great to understand what summer yarns will be less droopy as you wear the garment. My daughter said the tee I knit for her grew significantly as she wore it.

    • @ChroniclesofYarnia
      @ChroniclesofYarnia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mary Ellen - What yarn did you use that you found grew? Often using the same yarn at a tighter tension will reduce the amount the fabric grows. ~K🧶

    Summer knitting has to have lightness. I live in North Texas so we are already into the 80s. I overheat quickly so my knits need to breath and waterwick.

    I so wish that I didn’t live across the country from y’all. The closest LYS to me is in the next county.😢 Oddly enough I don’t really knit many summer sweaters, just not a big fan of plant based fibers.🤷‍♀️ For the class though I might suggest the Ranunculus, Love Note or Wilfreda. Sweater cousins!
