This car hugs you when you drive! Mine has side door illumination at night looks great, mine has a little more storage in the front too and I have the genuine brown leather. I must say, this vehicle is a perfect SUV and can fit a kayak inside of it! 😊
This was a good video review. Good in depth information. This actually helped me cause I’m really thinking bout getting one before my birthday. And when I do I coming back to this video to say I got one.
We just purchased our first BMW and your video is a good review on the car. We learned three new things watching your video, so thank you. Love this car!
The BMW X1 is super Fun!!! We have one while our X5 is in the shop Very nice and spacious and when you put it in Sport mode!!! OMG!!! For a small suv it’s Fast!!!! After driving it in Sport I turned it off at the next stop light cause I felt a ticket coming lol Amazing Car!!!! I’m 6’4” and I fit very well, if I didn’t have the bigger X5 I’d look at one of these for sure!!! I’d buy one for my daughter as her first car. Great job BMW!!!!
Great review, Tyler! This vehicle seems like a pretty neat vehicle in its class. This x1 appears to be pretty spacious, technologically advanced, and comfortable. You are so close to 1k subscribers! I cannot wait! Keep it up, N&T Auto Reviews! 👍🏽
When this new generation X1 was introduced for the 2016 model year BMW based this "SAV", as they call it, on a "MINI" platform, which means it is FWD based. This was a very controversial move because up till then all the BMW in the US were RWD based, and the so-called BMW "purists" are die-hard RWD fans. Aside from that, for 2016 the X1 had only one engine/drivetrain option, the xdrive28i. For 2017 they introduced the "sdrive28i", which was once BMW speak for "RWD" but now has the exception of the FWD X1. I hear BMW is going in a new direction with its SAV's by making them FWD based, but to continue BMW heritage they will still be making their main stream models, like their 3 and 5 series, RWD based. Also really nice quality video. I've been meaning to find an "A1" quality video for an X1 configuration that I favor. 👍🏼
Anthony I disaggree: not all SAV's are poised as FWD-biased (talking Xdrive). The new X3 (G01) is RWD-biased, and even more so than the previous generation. So, no, X1 is the exception, here. That been said: the X1 (Xdrive) drives really well, especially with the 'torque vectoring' option and the sports seats (which support you much better than the standard seats in this video).
Geert Delmulle I never said "all" SAV's are FWD biased. I just said that the X1 was. I know that the other X models with sdrive are RWD. Are we on the same page?
Cruise control. Fuel is used more when accelerating and braking. So keeping to a constant velocity, aided by the cruise control mechanism, burns less fuel over the long drives ie highway driving. In urban scenarios, 28mpg is actually good.
Once again, great review!! I like that you're getting just a little more in depth with many reviews. And you're almost at 1000 subscribers! Yeah!! I'll always be one of the first 10, however :-P
I’m pretty sure the 2018 X1 is pretty much the same. You might have been lookin at the M Sport variant. Those are pretty different then the standard one in the video.
For 2018 BMW is now including Park Distance Control and a Rear View Camera as Standard Equiptment, as shown on the 2018 X4 and 4 series. You are right as I heard, all cars that in the US build after May of 2018 must have a Back-Up Camera.
Would make a great drinking game if you took a shot every time he said "Nice" (over 50 times). Lucky he pointed out there was stitching on the seats, who would believe it?

I've seen quite a few reviews on the X1, which I'm in the marker for, and this is by far the best in-depth review I've seen. Nice one Tyler :)
+Esther Y I'm glad you found this useful!

Nice review. Representing my home state of CT!
Just wanted to say Thank you for this video. I'm picking up my X1 this weekend. Thanks to you I now understand some of the bells and whistles.
Not 31 mpg on highway but 27.9 in eco mode on mine in my with winter nlend gas. Any suggestions to increase this?

Now looking at the 2018 X1. It's a serious piece of business. Tyler, your review coming soon or did I miss it?
I’m pretty sure the 2018 X1 is pretty much the same. You might have been lookin at the M Sport variant. Those are pretty different then the standard one in the video.
Hmmm not sure if $44k is too much or a decent price for what you get.
+TJC450 Lots of features come as options on this car.
N&T Auto Reviews I know. Typical BMW nickel and dime lol.
+TJC450 BMW is now including backup cameras as standard equipment now I heard.
N&T Auto Reviews That's good. Soon they'll be a required by law as standard equipment!!

It’s a pretty nice car
@@tydrives4846 oh really you think so
Need to expand the vocabulary. Just the first five minutes I lost count how many times he said NICE.
Transverse 4! Belongs in a Fiat and sounds like it! My Harley has a bigger engine!
That car is dirty A/F and they want $44k for it? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Couldve cleaned the damn thing before reviewing. Dirt all over the place
