The United States used to be a mostly peaceful, continental republic. Since WW2, after the rise of military industrial complex, and our creation of the CIA (mostly for 'state-building' / 'world-building', ie 'meddling'), the USA has turned into a vast, warmongering international police state. Prior to WW2, after a war, we mainly disbanded our military while keeping only a minimum amount of standing troops necessary. Nowadays, our aim is to be war-ready, that can attack any time, any where, from any method, with 100% alertness and readiness. Despite not being directly at war with anyone!! And we're spending more $$$ per year by an absurd multiplier than when we were in Iraq/Afghanistan.

American infrastructure sucks because its heavily car based and the public transport sucks. Nobody uses the buses and subways are very rare outside of NYC. Medicine and stuff here is stupid expensive, my pair of glasses is about 700 usd which is actually OUTRAGEOUS since im legally blind and can barely see about 2 meters away from where I am. And medical bills here are known to be wildly expensive, and the insurance companies are greedy little bastards and barely even care so sometimes you have to pay the medical bills out of your own pocket which can EASILY put you into debt. I highly recommend you dont travel here since it genuinely sucks and everything is too expensive.

The United States used to be a mostly peaceful, continental republic. Since WW2, after the rise of military industrial complex, and our creation of the CIA (mostly for 'state-building' / 'world-building', ie 'meddling'), the USA has turned into a vast, warmongering international police state. Nowadays, our aim is to be war-ready, that can attack any time, any where, from any method, with 100% alertness and readiness. Despite not being directly at war with anyone!! And we're spending more $$$ per year by an absurd multiplier than when we were in Iraq/Afghanistan.

Medicine and stuff here is stupid expensive, my pair of glasses is about 700 usd which is actually OUTRAGEOUS since im legally blind and can barely see about 2 meters away from where I am. And medical bills here are known to be wildly expensive, and the insurance companies are greedy little bastards and barely even care so sometimes you have to pay the medical bills out of your own pocket which can EASILY put you into debt. I highly recommend you dont travel here since it genuinely sucks and everything is too expensive.
