We have just returned from one of the first 7-night Mexican Riviera cruises on the new Carnival Panorama. For this voyage, the Princess and I opted for a balcony cabin on deck 8. We are back and want to share every detail of this accommodation with you in our Carnival Panorama Balcony Cabin Tour and Review.

Balcony staterooms are among the most popular cabin categories on most ships. For this cruise, we stayed in a Deck 8 aft cabin, stateroom 8387. This was located not far from the elevators on the starboard side. It was a perfect location to get up to the Lido Deck or down to the main areas on Decks 3-5.
The room’s layout was pretty standard, with the bed situated next to the balcony door. There was a desk that provided limited space for storage and was the Princess' main station for getting ready each day. Closet space was on par with other cruise lines, as was the seating area. As we toured the Carnival Panorama Balcony cabin, we felt there was adequate room for two adults, but it might be tight for families with children.
One big miss in the stateroom was the lack of USB outlets near the bed. Also, we were not fans of the balcony setup. Instead of a sliding glass door, there was a large window and a door that opened out to the balcony.

Wow. A dreaded shower curtain. I thought all the new ships were moving to glass doors. That's a large oversight by the shipyard.
Yes, we definitely prefer the glass doors as well.

I’m going on the panorama this august and I’m on the 7th floor and ours is also a balcony room I’ve been on carnival cruise many times bc carnival magic was my first cruise I came off the legend that left from Baltimore last year. But on thing I don’t like they should make the shower instead of a curtain a door instead
You must not cruise much. That is a really basic balcony room on a Carnival boat except for the larger TV on the wall. As far as plugs and USB ports I would suggest you buy a European plug converter so you will have the extra USB ports and outlet. I got one on Amazon for around $10-$15 bucks it has 2 USB ports and an extra outlet

I just put down a deposit for Carnival Panorama for November 2020, and I wanted to check out a video review of this NEW ship! 🚢 I'm really surprised the Atrium is so "toned down", without all the bright colored neon lights the other Carnival ships have! I do like the "floor to ceiling" LED funnel, that's very different... It must be striking to see that in person! I was just on Carnival Magic in Nov. 2019, and from this video, the balcony is the same, but I can compare the differences in the cabin "decor", the desk area, & also I see the cabin lighting is different too!

Ok. Total Noob question here. What is that "Choose Fun" plastic sign on the bed for? I just threw mine over on the end of the couch and forgot about it.
We just throw it off to the side as well. We don’t think it has any use, lol. When is your next cruise?

It's to protect the bedding from your luggage while you unpack.
Does this room have a bed that pulls down from the ceiling?
Some cabins nearby in this category do, but this one does not.
Where do u store your luggage? Underneath bed like other cruise lines??

I hate having a shower curtain. !
I can’t believe that carnival will still use a shower curtain I guess that’s why I won’t ever cruise with them again. For the same amount of money on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean at least the bathroom looks like it’s nice with glass doors
Shower curtains are easier to clean as they can be taken down and washed. Easier on the staff than having to constantly clean glass doors. Also for a larger person they can still fit in one with a curtain.

You sound so smart and your video was well done, but your absolute lack of grasps of the facts made your review incredibly misleading. Just for example, ccl is the biggest cruise line and the Panorama the newest ship pre covid for carnival. But you did a good job except for what you made up
