I surprised myself with my viewing of this. I've never weeped like I did watching it. Such amazing memories of seeing & treasuring her in the Bway production of this show, several times. I've never seen a live stage show as many times as I saw this one. What a totally over the top production here!
Rest in peace. You gave us all such beauty.
thank you so much for this Andrew... talk about commanding the stage and owning every moment! Wow
I was there. A friend of mine was in the chorus. It was a magical evening Thank you so much!
This was such a treat to see again! I was there, and I had helped Liliane get from place to place during rehersal (the cast thought I was her boy toy...). I'm so glad to see this. You don't happen to have the whole show do you? Thank you!
love it..!!!Liliane is fantastic...thnks for posting
This gave me so much joy. Thank you so much.
Thankyou..! This is very much the same performance she gave in the original NINE production, 1980.
Here's the fascinating backstory about how the song was created: th-cam.com/video/YkHx8wuGwnA/w-d-xo.html
OMG!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I've wanted to see this for years. I can't believe how incredible her body was, she was well over 50 at the time!
There were still stars to see then. So grateful for that Broadway era, now gone.
There are none like this anymore :( Magic!
This is stunning, amazing - WOW! Thank you Andrew, I cannot believe it!
thank you!!! I LOVED IT!!
R.I.P. Liliane Montevecchi
Au Revoir Madame Montevecchi. RIP :-(
I love Liliane Montevecchi but Anita Dobson steals the show for me here. She's so funny!
She's still "GOT IT!!!!" I can see why she won the tony back in '82!
Yes, I love her so much. She is one of the greats, I played for her ballet classes in nyc, at 81 she still takes class 5-6 times a week. And puts 20-30 years in awe of her feet and technique, so gorgeous. A gay boys dream come true, I cant believe I talked with her everyday. And treats everyone the same including the humble pianist in the corner (me) !!! she paid for my car to the LaGuardia one time just because she overheard me saying I leaving ...
HOLY CRAP! This is AMAZING!!!!
Oh my goodness, was it really 1992? I was there. Thanks for reminding me what a fabulous night it was.

Promise I will as soon as possible..! Many thanks for your compliments..!
No wonder she won the Tony
Not a woman... A GENIUS!!!
incroyable :')
Would love to see Jonathan singing "Guido's Song" :)
And she's still going strong..! She and Kaye Ballard have a show together.
Many have sung "Folies Bergeres" after Lilianne, but only she owns this song. I guess the fact that she is French, adds some sort of legitimate flair that is unmatched by non-French actresses.
Right - she was the headliner at Les Folies Bergéres for many years. ❤❤❤. Rest in peace, spectacular lady!
NONPAREIL!!
Broadway the way it should be, but will never be again….
1992...!?
This is quite possibly one of, if not the, greatest score ever written. It literally has everything and there are few that thrills and gives chills like Yeston’s score for Nine. This is by far the definitive recording of this masterpiece and I can’t thank you enough for posting these videos - your channel is fantastic!
