- A little project I've been working on to convert a plane released prior to VR so that it works better in VR and feels more natural. The YAK-55M is a lot of fun, we did a previous video with it before VR. This video demonstrates the changes I made plus we do some Aerobatics fun.

Why is the Yak jacked higher?🚁👏🏻☕️
Do you mean the seat height or the gear struts? If you feel you're sitting too high in the seat, then you can adjust the Z value in the vrconfig file hotspot. When I did it, setting that height was really just trial and error till I felt it was close enough, or at least reasonable. I guess you cold say it was a best guess.

Thank you for this mod. I'll have to give it a try. I have to ask though... why do you use the laser for everything? I find a big part of the VR experience is being able to reach out and grab/rotate/flick the switches just like in real life.
Great comment - the main reason is because of the placement of my rift sensors in relation to where I have to sit on the desk. If I actually reach to the panel I usually end up hitting something that I cant see, such as my Saitek equipment or the desk itself, OR the cameras loose tracking because it goes under the desk or something. So it's just easier for me to point and shoot, but to me there's not really that big of a drawback... In my head, I'm hitting the right switch! Thanks for watching the video, I hope you like the mod!
