    Carlo Ancelotti talks about the injury crisis from 2014/15 in his book Quiet Ledership... Real were on a crazy winning streak at the time (something like 18 games?) and there was an article that went around about players training intensity or something, and Real Madrid wasn't at the top of the list... Carlo wanted to ease off in training, but Perez interpreted the article as the players not training enough and demanded they train even more. Then the injuties piled up and the season went up in smoke.

    Hazard is not a winner like Messi, Cristiano and other great players that won't stop working hard until they win everything they can in their career. At least that's my vision of him. But I still hope he can find his form and help Real Madrid in the future.

    I'm a Chelsea fan and I'm so angry at Real's medical team and coaches. At Chelsea he didn't really train so he didn't put unnecessary strain on his body. Now they've ruined him. His legacy will now not be the brilliant winger that could turn a game with ease and will instead be the 120 million euro flop and injury prone.

    I also think there might be a cumulative effect from his entire career, in terms of not training diligently, which includes prehab (an often overlooked aspect of physical preparation).
    What I mean is that the problem may not only be those two or three pre-seasons when he showed up really out of shape, but also the rest of those pre-seasons when he wasn't necessarily obviously fat, but also wasn't in optimal shape for that point in the year either (bad diet, bad prehab/training, bad sleep/recovery patterns etc.).
    So when he was young, he likely wouldn't have missed many games, no matter what he did, simply due to the fact that he was at his most physically robust and resilient to injury, which is the case in late adolescence/early adulthood. However, all the while, he was likely accumulating minor damage and not building up physical development to mitigate future strains on his body.
    A young body is a bit like a new car. You can floor it, then do handbreak-turns etc., and it seemingly has no effect, but "under the hood" there's damage being done bit by bit. Then one day years later when the car is older, one handbreak-turn too many, and the car is fucked and beyond repair, due to the accumulated damage.

  • @goattm2

    I have the suspicion that with the way Bale and Hazard have spent so much time injured at Madrid that they don't look after their players properly. • @josetobon6461
    @josetobon6461 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really hope you see this comment Adrian because I'd like to know what you think of this theory. I think his injury problems come from him being used to train. Train?? Yes and what I mean is that I recall John Terry once said that Eden was the worst trainer during trying while he played with him at Chelsea. He went on to say that sure he knew he didn't train and exert himself during training but he trusted that come game day Hazard would deliver which he often would. So that's the problem with Hazard. He has never been used to exertinhimself during train but once he got to Madrid I feel he felt pressures to train just as hard as everyone because he now wasn't the so called best player. He was now in a dressing room who was at Eden's level. (No offense to Chelsea) So that may be where the psychological side comes into play and the continuous injuries. Ill stop now because then I know I'll ramble on and lose you but I hope I made some what of a point.

    Just an assumption but he did arrive at Madrid in a poor physical condition, something that I think never happened at Chelsea. Allowing his body to gain 5 kilos and then work back up to his normal Chelsea like physic could have been the cause. The slight opposite happened to bale where he packed on considerably more mass for the 2014/15 season, a year after he came to Madrid and I think when his troubles with injures started to occur. Weight management in sports could be an interesting topic for some players, leading up to the injuries and possible similarities in injuries they sustained.

    I really want hazard to come back from injury but I understand why he may not play against Liverpool in the second leg because he needs to rest and fully recover and he shouldn’t be rushed to play. There’s more crucial games for Madrid that we need hazard for. ( even though he doesn’t make such a big contribution during the game )

    Funny how exactly what's happening to Hazard this year and Real in general is exactly what doctors were concerned was going to happen due to the hyper condensed schedule to be able to cram in the Euros at the end of the season. If Madrid wasn't putting pressure on Zidane this season about under-performance, while they were going through an injury crisis, Hazard likely would have been given the appropriate rehab time.
    There are players that by the end of the Euros will have played upwards of 15 months of straight football with multiple games a week and no real breaks, going directly into next season to play for likely significant portions. This is a problem we could see last for much longer than expected.

      It is very common, that your cardiovascular system is not proportional to your muscular system, and thus it can create an imbalance where your body is not at top shape Ex. you run for a while because your lungs can handle it, but your hamstring is not used to is and thus you injure it.
