Aveline looks like Katy Pery to me lol. She blocks 4 with promotion and blocks 5 with Olages wall artifact. Don't underestimate her ability to tank 5 dudes at once.

I have Captain Reve. He's actually great. Closer to a bruiser than a damage-soaking tank, but his life steal keeps him alive pretty well. An absolute monster in GR1, up to stage 19, especially if you have Morrigan.
i agree on Olague being a great tank, and he's easy to build but outside of being a punching bag he doesnt bring much that's why personally i prefer other tanks like Brokkir or King Harz, cuz they also help your team to take less dmg and survive hard aoe's like in GR2 some ppl will say "a tank is there to tank, and that's why Olague is that good" But imo, as long a tank can tank the content, it doesnt matter how he's doing it. Better bring something else and help the rest of the team to survive aswell
Love my Torodor, but he's about as much a defender as Abomintion. He's tanky for sure, but he debuffs and deals good damage. Mine is in Glacier set with Bloodthirst artifact because he can open a whole can of whupass. That said, as a defender, I think he's behind Brokkir and Olague.
The first legendary i pulled was Torodor. While he is a high vost hero, i cant not put him in the lineup. His kit is strong and versatile. Good defender and tank, but massive damage output. I enjoy the tactic of kill before you get overwhelmed. With his beefy atk stat, his extended range, and various AoE attacks, he can wipe minions off the map. Pair it with his Lord Ability to increase atk and atk speed, and he just becomes a freight train in nearly every type of battle. Great to build a team around him!
Hey Sir Ash! One gap I've seen in other CC's content that maybe you can fill is providing really solid overviews of game mechanics and game strategies (not battle strategies). Especially for new players. For example, I can find a ton of videos from various CC's explaining how to beat various stages of the artifact raid. But so far I haven't found a single video explaining artifacts; how they impact a hero's kit; when you should focus on them; how to improve them and when you go from collecting to improving; and some general tips on how to best leverage artifacts; etc. I think similar videos could be done on campaign in general (when to focus on the various campaign tiers, what type of champs you want for each tier, etc.); gear (what gear to look for, when should start heavily farming gear, best ways to use the sell function, etc.); gems; summon crystals; arena; etc. Basically, giving players (especially new players) a solid orientation to the game mechanics and how to best approach them. Hope that sounds like something you might want to do. Thanks for the great content!

I think baron is more usefull than Olague, couse the free nightmare champs we can get early. And usually I pair him with Volka, boost some atk speed and he is immortal. And he is boosting my other free fighters too from nightmare. So because of this he is better I think.
ISOLDE looks like she can keep stacking her increase block to herself and allies. This coukd he huge in artifact mat raid, tide, and gear raid 1. I have yet to see anyone cover this. Her plus Aveline and Ologue could be insane for tide but also gr1 to make a wall with your defenders behind the wall.

Don't sleep on Azhor Ash. Low-ish cost, defense scaling damage, infernal faction. Definitely not top, top tier but could sneak into the bottom of the top ten list.
Specifically, you have to beat the 2nd battle you see in Normal Void Rift. The one that blocks your way forward. The first battle you see can be avoided.
This timing is perfect. I am about to six star a defender but can’t decide between Regulus, Baron, and Olague. I am going to pick Olague based on your review recommendation.

It's great that each class gets its own ranking :) I've been playing for a short time and sometimes I get lost. Such videos are very necessary.
Merial is one of my favorite defenders from her mass heals and fairly good stats, she can solo heal artifact raid up to 16 with moderate gear
I use her a lot. Late game she starts getting pretty squishy but still has her uses.

I was so lucky when I started the game. Olague was one of my first epics I pulled and boy is he a freaking TANK
I got Reve the first time they brought him out…and got his fish buddy a couple days ago. Fun times shall ensue.

Marri's look changes some as well - her hair color changes and I think her eyes change. I don't know if any others do though.

Once you get to account level 40 the void rift will unlock. If you beat the second stage in that you'll get Olague for free.
