Hikari and Nanami knew that Kotonoha was in a love triangle with Makoto and Sekai, so they call out to the two, who seems strangely indifferent and unmoved. It's scary because at first they seem to be enjoying a peaceful traditional Japanese new year's day until the grotesque truth is revealed

It is the worst. Choosing Sekai in the game just make my heart break for Kotonoha, because she is a consistent person. She loves Makoto and acts them out, such as making lemonade and making up with Makoto. Well, she did feel down sometimes, but Sekai was just sobbing all the time and don't make her position clear to Kotonoha until everything become too much to bear.
This anime had my emotions going all over the place, sometimes i didnt know what to think of the situation, at the end when Sekai killed Makoto, i was shocked but i didnt really know if i was pissed at the same time, but i have to say this whole anime really thought me a valuable lesson, TAKE ONE GIRL AT A TIME!

At first I thought the same as you, but after I realized the whole matchmaker trick was actually seikai's plan to get closed to makoto, she just use kotonoha as a tool and didn't really see her as a friend, that is not about black and white, seikai is just bad in the beginning.

+shannaginsxD Actually, the "true" ending of the game wasn't even in the game (or the anime/manga), just confirmed by the developers. Overflow likes to do this with their games, none of the endings is the "canon" one, instead they give clues of what happened via press releases or sequels (cameos more than sequels, because they like to show how all their games are related in some form). The only thing known about the "true ending" of School Days is that both Sekai and Setsuna had Makoto's children, because they only confirmed what School Days would add to the already chaotic "Overflow Family Three" (by chaotic I mean that they retconed so much people to be characters from other games of theirs that now almost every pairing is incestual; so it's more like a spiderweb with a creepy stair on the side than a three). Is not known if someone died or who is Makoto's girlfriend. We don't really know if they would make any sequels or another franchise, because now they've been successful with non-canon spinoffs.

Also they said it didn't have much details, but apparently that's normal from Overflow. They say it's very possible it's going to be explained in other game as a shout-out, probably a whole new saga released years from now, one with completely new characters. Like someone would talk about their parents failed relationship and it would be hinted to be Makoto and Sekai. Be prepared to something disturbing which would make the whole story even more disgusting. Like when it was revealed Puremail's MC abusive dad was Makoto's dad. This makes the lore surrounding this man even more disturbing, before he was similar to Kinzo from Umineko (but worse), but now he also r**** boys. It's scary because he could have r**** Makoto, who knows. Then it was revealed this Puremail MC, who was traumatized by his dad and can become a r***** in the bad route, really became one, in another different ending. Even when the good ending was so satisfying because he was broken and he got with a girl who was also broken and tried to escape from their environment. But good endings don't exist on Overflow. Instead he got with the girl he r*** in the game. And he still r**** her and hits her. He also has r**** her brother little when she's not home. The stinger is that her little brother is Taisuke from School Days. So he becomes a r****** because his sister told him that's how relationships worked and the man also r**** him. I feel so bad for him but also his character makes so much sense now. And if Makoto's dad was also like that I now understand why he was always trying to protect his sister from him or why he was like that with girls. At least h was never abusive on the original School Days (he becomes more and more like his dad with every Days iteration but I wonder if the Days saga became too popular they can't just make a new MC now and instead they keep making weird AU's where they characters act slightly different).

I thought Taisuke had a weird thing with his family (based on how he talked about his sister) and the way he treated Sekai in SD when they were in a relationship was very pushy. I also looked up the 0verflow family tree and it was a mess lol. And for the ending, I remember someone who posted that Kotonoha's grave (from the "forever" ending) could be seen on the second episode of the OVA, making that the supposedly real ending, but I'm not sure

On this ending the girls talking about makes kotonoha away from sekai and Makoto relationships (by bullying), but stumbled upon the news that talking about dead body wearing the same uniforms from their school (kotonoha), sekai and Makoto walk like nothing happen (they both is a murder here?)
@sofitssofi 21with the original release 5 added for the PS2 and I think there were one or two added with the HQ version of the game, which will finally be released in the US. She mentions how this year she wants revenge on last year's bad luck, so I think Sekai pretty much has her uncle ball the balls and before that mentions how Kotonoha won't be a problem anymore and says that "Makoto told her that 'he would never let her go' right" to which Makoto sounds shocked slightly.

I don't think that is the case, if you look closely when he first starts liking her, she dead seriously tries to get him to stay loyal to kotonoha. When he confesses his love she gives in since she loves him but she obviously feels terrible for kotonoha and even then tries to get him to go back with her for a while but eventually gives up. Theres also a seen in the game where she sees kotonoha being bullied and she begins crying out of guilt, so I think she truly cared about her.
In my opinion there are 2 true endings both good and bad. The fact that this story was centered around Kotohana loving Mokoto and Mokoto being a horny dumbass and sekai being nothing but jelous i think supports my opinion. The first true ending (bad) is the one where sekai pushes kotonoha in the way of the on coming train. The second true ending (good) is a tough one to decide on but i think that it is the ending where kotonoha and mokoto wake up in bed and they recive a call from kotonoha's sis

But this is completely different, Makoto and Sekai brutally and deliberately murdered Kotonoha, I doubt that any spirit would be strong enough to haunt this sickening couple.

She made that up, so the whole "pregnancy" thing really WASN'T Makoto's responsibility since there was nothing to take responsibility FOR. I definitely did alot of gasping and shouting watching it lol In the end it had a good story and moral so it was like "I understand" (a little anyway) And it's one of my absolute favorites. School Days messed me up because it was your average anime (besides all the sex and such) and then the last episode completely goes crazy for no valid reason. sekai isn't really a bad person. She just made some irresponsible mistakes. She felt bad about taking makoto from kotonoha in the anime and many routes of the game. i feel bad for both, kotonoha just showed it more but they were both suffering and unstable but many people ignore sekai's good qualities and how much she suffered because of her mistakes. Many people with the"black and white mentality" interpret sekai and a terrible person and are too blind to see things from her perspective
It's not "black and white". She suffered too, but she suffered because she was doing something cruel to a friend. I agree that if she had met Kotonoha BEFORE meeting Makoto, then she would have had a better chance of living up to the friendship expectations she was hoping to. But she knew Makoto first. So of course, she was going to choose her love for him over respecting her friend's feelings. But even some girls who just barely walk onto the scene when two people are already together sometimes pull the same shit she did anyway (happened to me). She felt bad, but you know what??? I've been in Kotonoha's place before. I was told profusely, every single day that that other girl "felt bad". But did she really show her guilt any other way than telling my ex to tell me about it? NO. And Sekai pretty much does the same thing. They may feel bad, but they don't feel bad enough. I've just learned it's best to ignore thinking about what they did to you...

I just started to get intrigued in this anime/novel and Kotonoha didn't deserve this she didn't deserve a single death infact Sekai can die and burn in hell along with Makoto Kotonoha doesn't need him she is a queen and the fact they teamed up on kotonoha like that was unfair I mean put up 2 people vs 1 girl who didn't expect any of this of course she would die I just wished there was an ending where she somehow lives and gets her revenge like she knew they were planning it and then tricks them and kills them both

I know that im 3 years to late but there are some endings there Makoto isin't a cheating a**hole and actually cares for Kotonoha, in one ending Kotonoha and Makoto are waiting for there Train to School, Then Sekai (the unlikebale B*tch that she is) pushes Kotonoha on the traintracks right befor the train, Makoto tries too pull her back but its too late and she was hit and run over by the Train and the only that Makoto could safe from her was her Hand! I personally hate that ending, but at least Makoto wasn't a cheating, lying piece of sh*t and tries to safe his Gf. In a over ending they also wait for the train but this time they waiting for the home train ther Sekai (still a B*tch) tries the same thing but now the train is not so close. Makoto manages to grab Kotonoha and accidentally pushes Sekai over the traintracks too there she drops her cell phone and it falls on the tracks. Sekai with her stupidity tries to grab her phone while Makoto pulls Kotonoha back into safety, but also her he is to slow and he has to let go of Kotonoha to safe himself, but there is also a different Version there Makoto is fast enough to pull her into safety, and Kotonoha, the Sweetheart that she is, even tries to pull Sekai, the one that tries to murder her, back but Makoto only concentrates on Kotonoha and pulls her back so fast that she loses her grip and then accidentally pushes her on the tracks there then Sekai is the one who gets run over. Well, Karma is a B*tch sometime.

So Makoto can leave it or Talk her into having practice with him many times Sekai says it's bad and tries to get him with Kotonoha again but Makoto tricks her.
It is implied that Sekai murderd Kotonoha in this ending (because the Report is about a murderd girl and Kotonoha wasn't in the school for a few days) and because of Sekais Smile at the end

They probably saw her watching them have sexual intercourse, which most likely trigger the murder. The Full Story: Nanami and Hikari heard on the news about a death of a girl, and think it's Kotonoha cause she had stop coming to school for a few weeks. They ask Sekai and Makoto while walking to school (since they were very close to Kotonoha) if they know any clues, but they just say no, and walk away. It's blatantly shown, even without saying it, that they killed her because of their calm, carefree reaction to Nanami and Hikari's theory; as if they couldn't care less that a friend was viciously killed. Also, when Hikari and Nanami try to continue the conversation, Sekai and Makoto ignore them and go into their own love conversation. This is a bad ending cause someone died.

After the news Nanami just tries to talk to Sekai(says nothing informative), but Sekai just says, that she will leave them behind, if they won't haste, then Makoto and Sekai talk about going to a shrine on new year's. They don't ask Sekai and she doesn't deny it, she just either pretends not to hear the news or just doesn't care about it. Also, if i'm not mistaken, they don't know Makoto, Sekai and Kotonoha were close, but rather they thought Kotonoha was interfering in their relationships

I thought Taisuke had a weird thing with his family (based on how he talked about his sister) and the way he treated Sekai in SD when they were in a relationship was very pushy. I also looked up the 0verflow family tree and it was a mess lol. And for the ending, I remember someone who posted that Kotonoha's grave (from the "forever" ending) could be seen on the second episode of the OVA, making that the supposedly real ending, but I'm not sure
@@mar9630 I'm not sure about that grave, but you can see Winter Radish Vacation MC's grave on Shiny Days, but it was never explained how she died or when.

It was really hard To tell what they were saying cause I can’t speak Japanese. Also Makoto and Sekai were arrested for Kotonohas murder and were both put to death row
On this ending the girls talking about makes kotonoha away from sekai and Makoto relationships (by bullying), but stumbled upon the news that talking about dead body wearing the same uniforms from their school (kotonoha), sekai and Makoto walk like nothing happen (they both is a murder here?)

@sofitssofi 21with the original release 5 added for the PS2 and I think there were one or two added with the HQ version of the game, which will finally be released in the US.
She mentions how this year she wants revenge on last year's bad luck, so I think Sekai pretty much has her uncle ball the balls and before that mentions how Kotonoha won't be a problem anymore and says that "Makoto told her that 'he would never let her go' right" to which Makoto sounds shocked slightly.

I don't think that is the case, if you look closely when he first starts liking her, she dead seriously tries to get him to stay loyal to kotonoha. When he confesses his love she gives in since she loves him but she obviously feels terrible for kotonoha and even then tries to get him to go back with her for a while but eventually gives up. Theres also a seen in the game where she sees kotonoha being bullied and she begins crying out of guilt, so I think she truly cared about her.

In my opinion there are 2 true endings both good and bad. The fact that this story was centered around Kotohana loving Mokoto and Mokoto being a horny dumbass and sekai being nothing but jelous i think supports my opinion. The first true ending (bad) is the one where sekai pushes kotonoha in the way of the on coming train. The second true ending (good) is a tough one to decide on but i think that it is the ending where kotonoha and mokoto wake up in bed and they recive a call from kotonoha's sis

I agree with you in all areas except one. Sekai wasn't really pregnant; Kotonoha confirmed that. She made that up, so the whole "pregnancy" thing really WASN'T Makoto's responsibility since there was nothing to take responsibility FOR.
Still no excuse for the rest of Makoto's behavior, though, I agree with you there.

I definitely did alot of gasping and shouting watching it lol In the end it had a good story and moral so it was like "I understand" (a little anyway) And it's one of my absolute favorites. School Days messed me up because it was your average anime (besides all the sex and such) and then the last episode completely goes crazy for no valid reason. It's one of those.. plot shockers lol But a definite watch

sekai isn't really a bad person. She just made some irresponsible mistakes. She felt bad about taking makoto from kotonoha in the anime and many routes of the game. i feel bad for both, kotonoha just showed it more but they were both suffering and unstable but many people ignore sekai's good qualities and how much she suffered because of her mistakes. Many people with the"black and white mentality" interpret sekai and a terrible person and are too blind to see things from her perspective
It's not "black and white". She suffered too, but she suffered because she was doing something cruel to a friend. I agree that if she had met Kotonoha BEFORE meeting Makoto, then she would have had a better chance of living up to the friendship expectations she was hoping to. But she knew Makoto first. So of course, she was going to choose her love for him over respecting her friend's feelings. But even some girls who just barely walk onto the scene when two people are already together sometimes pull the same shit she did anyway (happened to me). She felt bad, but you know what??? I've been in Kotonoha's place before. I was told profusely, every single day that that other girl "felt bad". But did she really show her guilt any other way than telling my ex to tell me about it? NO. And Sekai pretty much does the same thing. They may feel bad, but they don't feel bad enough. I've just learned it's best to ignore thinking about what they did to you...

I just started to get intrigued in this anime/novel and Kotonoha didn't deserve this she didn't deserve a single death infact Sekai can die and burn in hell along with Makoto Kotonoha doesn't need him she is a queen and the fact they teamed up on kotonoha like that was unfair I mean put up 2 people vs 1 girl who didn't expect any of this of course she would die I just wished there was an ending where she somehow lives and gets her revenge like she knew they were planning it and then tricks them and kills them both
Honestly I agree,Kotonoha just wanted to be a good girlfriend to Makoto yet he proceeds to cheat on her like she doesn't have feelings and they ruined her.She wasn't a Yandere(or didn't appear to be)until she figured out Makoto and Sekai's backstabbing.She probably would've stayed innocent if it weren't for those 2
I know that im 3 years to late but there are some endings there Makoto isin't a cheating a**hole and actually cares for Kotonoha, in one ending Kotonoha and Makoto are waiting for there Train to School, Then Sekai (the unlikebale B*tch that she is) pushes Kotonoha on the traintracks right befor the train, Makoto tries too pull her back but its too late and she was hit and run over by the Train and the only that Makoto could safe from her was her Hand! I personally hate that ending, but at least Makoto wasn't a cheating, lying piece of sh*t and tries to safe his Gf. In a over ending they also wait for the train but this time they waiting for the home train ther Sekai (still a B*tch) tries the same thing but now the train is not so close. Makoto manages to grab Kotonoha and accidentally pushes Sekai over the traintracks too there she drops her cell phone and it falls on the tracks. Sekai with her stupidity tries to grab her phone while Makoto pulls Kotonoha back into safety, but also her he is to slow and he has to let go of Kotonoha to safe himself, but there is also a different Version there Makoto is fast enough to pull her into safety, and Kotonoha, the Sweetheart that she is, even tries to pull Sekai, the one that tries to murder her, back but Makoto only concentrates on Kotonoha and pulls her back so fast that she loses her grip and then accidentally pushes her on the tracks there then Sekai is the one who gets run over. Well, Karma is a B*tch sometime.

I'm 9 years too late but it's considered a bad ending due to the sole reason that both Sekai and Makoto act as if they didn't care about Kotonoha's death, presumably hinting that they made a joint effort to murder her

***** It's a alternative end to "Bloody Conclusion" where Sekai and Makoto kill Kotonoha after Makoto breaks up with her and Kotonoha goes crazy instead of Kotonoha killing Sekai. They probably saw her watching them have sexual intercourse, which most likely trigger the murder.
The Full Story: Nanami and Hikari heard on the news about a death of a girl, and think it's Kotonoha cause she had stop coming to school for a few weeks. They ask Sekai and Makoto while walking to school (since they were very close to Kotonoha) if they know any clues, but they just say no, and walk away. It's blatantly shown, even without saying it, that they killed her because of their calm, carefree reaction to Nanami and Hikari's theory; as if they couldn't care less that a friend was viciously killed. Also, when Hikari and Nanami try to continue the conversation, Sekai and Makoto ignore them and go into their own love conversation. This is a bad ending cause someone died.

After the news Nanami just tries to talk to Sekai(says nothing informative), but Sekai just says, that she will leave them behind, if they won't haste, then Makoto and Sekai talk about going to a shrine on new year's. They don't ask Sekai and she doesn't deny it, she just either pretends not to hear the news or just doesn't care about it. Also, if i'm not mistaken, they don't know Makoto, Sekai and Kotonoha were close, but rather they thought Kotonoha was interfering in their relationships
