I think hating on game journalists is so overdone at this point, people forget these people are journalists first gamers second, offcourse someone who plays one video game once a month is not going to give an informative review for a game that assumes you've watched the entire series and every movie since 1990. It's just a bad review no one is trying to "push an agenda"
Your video was okay until you tried to make a point on sparking zero vs Kakarot’s story and why you shouldn’t have to pay for 2. The argument lost credibility on that instantly. One is story driven and the others COMPLETE main focus is multiplayer. YES you gotta buy both. 2 completely different games. Sparkings story is literally a bonus and just a love letter with extra content. So don’t compare the 2 even remotely. You play sparking because you wanna fight other players and the boys that’s it. Just like tenkaichi 3. Argument makes no sense. We’re already struggling with IGN giving bad takes to people and not this being added and yeah I already know you’re against IGN obviously so why add another L take on top of it
I completely disagree. If your focus is multiplayer . Why make two whole modes and hype them up that focus completely on the story. Db fighterz focuses more on fighting rather than story and it had more voice acting and cinematics. A 70$ game should be a complete package. First of all , the hype for the game and the actual facts out there hyped it up and dove 100% on being the newest dragon ball tenkaichi game. Not story or multiplayer. They were specific with that. Because if you played them it was always a little story and the MAIN part of it was the fighting, the fusion mechanics, and playing against your friends. Yes that includes both, but thats why they were specific with the marketing I’m so it doesn’t come off as a story game. If you played them you knew what you were getting. And that’s why everyone was so excited. And it’s a fighting game, but can’t be compared to z. Games like that and mortal kombat have very deep combo mechanics and a major skill gap that forces someone to be “fighting game” player. There’s a reason fighting games aren’t even close to the main stream of shooters and other games. They take 100 percent of your time to master 30 input combinations. Tenkaichi is closer in common to game like smash bros. And that’s the point and why it’s blowing up so much. It’s dragonball, but the actual buttons and inputs are WAYYY easier to grasp and are similar throughout. However depending on your character the moves and combos are different, however it’s still able to be understood to someone or a dad who hasn’t played a fighting game in 10 years BECAUSE it’s tenkaichi. Same with smash. There’s a reason you have main stream TH-camrs playing it like and not Mortal Kombat or fighter z. Hell faze Jev and Asmond are playing it. Tenkaichi is its own thing. And yes you have pros and all that however for the majority of gamers the game is easy enough and accessible to at least play. And as for the voice acting that’s completely wrong too. It’s already been stated this games has just in custom alone over 5000 voice lines. This part you must of missed because they did highlight it during the pre showings, but the voice line work on this was the biggest in ANY dragonball game. Z doesn’t come close. With all the secret endings and if you match certain characters with others for Easter eggs there’s even more voice lines by original va’s that you won’t get ever in the anime and only here because of the “what if” part of the game. The only thing I agree with is more cutscenes however it’s suppose to be looked at like a panel. Idk if you disagree then I guess Asmon and Afro are all wrong too. And I’m sorry Afro was given hands on and has way more behind the scenes access than you and it’s still not about the story. His last video is talking about how he has options finally in a game for online multiplayer and all the content he can do because that IS the games focus. That’s all of it. Also watching your video it took almost 3:30 minutes to really get into the actual positive of the game. So when at 3 minutes in your video has only been jokes on IGN and 1 good thing about the game, but than instantly talking bad on the story people are gonna get the wrong idea so the video back fires. People have small attention spans and might not go past the redemption arc in this video haha yes I know you’re actually hyping up the game, but you say it’s one of the issues with the game and talk negatively about the story before getting into the good stuff and you’re almost half way through your video since it’s around 8 minutes.
