- On 5 October 2012 the "Great Hymns of Our Faith" concert blessed many! The concert featured Loyiso Bala, Neville D and Ivan Siegelaar performing some of the Church's best-loved hymns, rearranged by Bruce Retief and played by full Orchestra. A second and third great Hymns concert happened in 2015 ad 2019.
This video, shot and edited by Zuks Emmanuel ( / 201527959888528 , is a showcase of how the three singers sound together as they sing one of the songs which will be performed that evening.
I am also 70 now and unfortunately I didn't know of the existence of this master piece until I could reach to these three Angelic Performers three weeks ago, on a real difficult day of my life, I can not enough thank Our Lord and God Jesus Christ for bringing me there. Amen 🙏

This morning our dear brother in Christ, Ivan Siegelaar, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. Ivan’s voice was second to none, and I had the honor of working with him on several projects. His friendship, gentle nature, humble spirit and immense talent will be sorely missed. But what hope we as believers have that death is not the end. Til we meet again, Ivan!

I have just lost my father through death. I learned two important lessons in my life about him.
1. I am on this earth because of him.
2. He is a discipline man in prayer.
Now he is in heaven with his Lord that he served down here on earth.
This song is a great relieve in my soul.
One of my very favorite song, those voices are so harmonous, i can listen to this song every day as i continue to turn my eyes.on Jesus.
Death is only of the body while His saints above continue to minister to those of us remaining down here. The God given anointing of this man continues to touch me daily covering me with spiritual and physical healing. We down here are all continually ministered to by the saints up there. What more proof do we need? Truly, God has always had this man’s back. I dreamt of his scarf the other night, that scarf about which I often wondered 🤔, draped the way it often was around Ivan’s neck. So I will look for it in Heaven, I will, to help me find this man who has brought me closer to Jesus. And thank him.

I was listening to other music and suddenly this music pop up and played, just mere listening, i'm full of tears, how i missed this moment , YOUR presence surrounded me, embraced me. Sobbing like a child.

When my granddaughters were babies, this is the song I sang to them as I rocked them to sleep.
How blessed they were. I pray they have gone on to walk with Jesus.

The past 2 weeks have been really tough. I do not have enough support around me. The Lord definitely put this hymn in my head. I searched yt for it and these 3 awesome gentlemen showed up. Hallelujah! Stay focused on Jesus. Evil will bear down hard on the world, especially on believers in Christ. Do not give up. Do not deny him. Jesus will commend you to the father, which is all we need.

8 years since this was posted! 3 years since Ivan's death! And I'm just discovering these voices from God. Am so grateful. Sad too, as I read the tributes to Ivan elsewhere, that I didn't know him as a pastor, a friend. And how glad I will be to meet him in heaven, where we will have limitless days to sing together to our Lord! Am now about to view every video I can find of these good brothers!

I learned how to sing this 80 years ago at the Quakers convention so soothing for our troubled world.
I just want to say that even though this is one of my favorite hymns of all times, it's these three voices that soothe the storm inside of me. I can not express enough, how much I love this rendition of this hymn.
