I bought the 5piece kit in 2021 and was completely blown away by how good they sound and build quality is on point as well for their price range. My only problem though is that a drunk driver crashed into my house, he flew about 70 feet over my back yard and landed basically on top of my kit. The 5 piece in black sparkle and Zildjian A custom cymbals. A couple of guitars and amps a fender rumble 100 bass amp a fender passport event PA ( that I just got the day before this happened) and a Roland td-1 e kit. Gone in the blink of an eye. My house was the neighborhood bands practice/recording room but I am starting to rethink that. Looking to replace the evolutions with these newly designed kit. Just bummed out that they discontinued the black sparkle.

Damn..I have the previous element evolution kit and the only difference is the hardware. These are miles better than the ones I got with my element evolution
I bought the version they made about 4 years ago that I got rid of ... Pretty solid kit but the vinyl wrap started lifting off the shells a few days after purchasing them. I'm thinking about buying this version, which is more expensive but it looks like they've upgraded the hardware also comes with better cymbals. I wonder if anyone else has had problems with the vinyl separation from the wood. I remember being irritated by that ... the reason I sold them.. took a few bucks off because of it. Barely played though.

@@kingmusic3617 Yeah .. those look great ... Cymbals are really what run up the cost of a kit, especially if you want good stuff .. It's crazy how much some of those ride cymbals run. I know these Z 'I's are still entry level stuff ... but they're a hell of a lot better than what comes with that Tama kit they're selling that's comparable to the Ludwig E Evolution. I think I'm going to go ahead and get that mint green kit .. get some decent bags for them so they don't get wrecked.
Limited on adjustability unless you reverse the base drum I guess
Ludwig is lacking. You buy anything Yamaha at the same price point the quality is thru the roof on the Yamaha. I mean I bought the diamond of all snare drums which was a Ludwig Black Beauty and the cheap crap it came with was almost laughable. The Yamaha Recording Brass Drum beats it completely out of the park and is at a lower price point even. I didn't upgrade a thing on that Yamaha brass snare but the Ludwig, I spent money upgrading many parts on it.
had them both Yamaha was ok but its made in China. buy USA
