Ha. I was there a few years ago. I opted not to rent a tube, and decided to swim instead. Bad idea. I almost got sucked under a couple of times, because the current was rather strong. It was during the rainy season. But anyways, yeah, good times. I encourage everyone to visit Laos.
vV is not vV anymore. It belongs to tourists now and lost all of it's true beauty. I agree, it's pretty sad and I hope it does not spread to other parts of Laos.
I miss this place so much, its paradise!
