When I did my head saw I had a problem getting rpm so I opened the chamber a hair to make it bigger and lower compared to then I got more rpm. Whether that’s the right way I’m not sure but it worked for me.
IVE 😊😊 seen saw like that be 4 U hold the throttle open and start them and that other saw U should start W a another cylinder where U want the saw 2 be at if not a enough more work will have 2 done the air flow and rpm what the nos stock 😊😊 OMG 8 18 2O24
If you cant find a colder plug backing off the timing a couple degrees does pretty much the same thing. With higher compression and a better shaped combustion chamber you dont need as much advance in the ignition.
@@G-Hawks We are still a few videos away from this so this is kinda a clue to where we are heading. 4 stroking like this could be caused by a rev limiter. Do these saws have rev limiter problems?
That's a strong runner for sure

That saw seems to be cutting so smooth, that square file is working great. Hopefully you get it dialed in before Sawfest
Changed all my saws to ngk bpmr6a 4972 on the advice of a friend and they all run cooler now, and maybe an extra 500rpm too. Hope this helps.
@@danross395 Thanks for the suggestion. I ordered some to try out.
Interesting. Is that a hotter plug than is typical stock?
Those boat plugs might be the ticket... But that's a pretty cool build for sure

A high revving TW??? Nice buddy.
Nice 👍
I've not had a big bore make any more power over an OE top end.
Get another head and goback to the original plug for that head.
@@gregmach8230 definitely an option. I want to explore a little more though. Might learn something new from this.
That's going to be one cool saw when you get it fully sorted.
four stroking like a mofo.. that engine is going to munt itself, hope you're recording when it does.

Pretty cool build!
