Larks Head Knot

The Lark’s Head knot is the most basic and essential macrame knot for mounting cords to a support and starting your macrame project.
Fold your cord in half to create a loop. Place the loop over the dowel, ring, or filler cord. Bring the loop behind the dowel or filler cord. Pull the two loose ends through the loop. Pull the ends to tighten the knot.
