I don't understand why the pawn is poison... on 14:56 you didn't check black queen B1 check. You get to this wired position, black can give multiple checks to the white king - and than maybe exchange the queens of the board. Not sure is useful, can't see how it loses the game.
I've studied the opening a bit, but realized early on that memorizing all those variations was not going to happen for me, so I learned the opening principles and have had a great time playing against those who only know how to play by rote, with little understanding of why those particular moves are played..
this is a very good example of difference between passive and active learning. no matter how many times you watch something being done, you have to do it yourself in order to improve.

Agadmator: ...apologies for going over 24hrs without a video. Finegold (CCSCA) channel: ...goes two weeks between videos, posts months-old stuff. -- We never had it so good.
Is it a not devolped piece if is not moved? I wonder.. Because of how strong was that black square bishop at the end.. Perhaps depends on the context.... a piece could have a lot of potencial in its initial position. If you know exactly when has to be moved as the great lasker did.
As he mentioned, the principal issue with doing what Lasker did (huge Lasker fan btw, Lasker sweep,) was that it allowed the white bishop free range over the board early on, which positionally translated into the endgame that we saw. The computer agrees, bringing out the bishop was the better call.
#Suggestion Will there be Videos added to the Lasker Playlist?... a Lasker Saga would be awesome. After all he was the longest reigning world champion in chess history with 27 years. It's actually a draw after qb1+ but only if Capablanca plays perfect moves, otherwise black is just lost. For example, after qe4+ and f3, black would blunder the game if he goes Qe2+ instead of qc2+. I'd hazard a guess by saying that chess is similar to science in that you make decisions only be a process of rigorous thought and based on principles (well at least you should, I don't). I'd also say that it is similar to science in that it is a game of perfect information: each side has access to the correct move/continuation (despite the inherent difficulty of this) in the same way that science supposes that all information necessary to evaluate the world and understand it, is available through a process of experimentation and interaction.

He also only starts the computer after first thinking himself about a chess problem because else "you stop using your own brain". An endgame for example you can perfectly learn from the old legends as Fischer because the lever of endgame a human is capable to play is something human's were mastering even before the computer age. And last not least to outplay your opponent or more precise to create a position where you know your opponent is not comfortable with is something where general HUMAN chess ideas is helping you much more - as computer preparation anyway ends after some 20-30 moves and you have to start playing chess on your own, at the board, with (or against) the clock.
